Gerard John Schaefer "The Hangman"

Alaina is back and scarier than ever, like seriously hold the scary spice, lady. Today she brings us the case of Gerard John Schaefer who killed an estimated 34 young women. He used his power and one time status as a police officer to lure these young girls into “going away” with him on some kind of great adventure but would then bring them into the woods and do some of the the most unimaginable and depraved things before brutally murdering them. Unfortunately many of his victims have yet to be found.

I am SO happy Alaina is back 1st of all, 2nd THE BEST EPISODE EVER. I will say in other episodes you guys say "trigger trigger" A LOT like with albert fish, BUT this one there wasn't..i appreciate that you guys covered things in detail, as with all of them normally. If i want more Gore i can go elsewhere. Anyway, 10/10 my favorite episode so far.

Alaina and Ash have brought out a love of true crime in me that I didn’t know I had! I’ve been listening for about a year now(y’all keep me sane at work), and I’m only about halfway through y’all’s catalog of episodes.

"I mean anyone in New England knows storyland".... cuz ya everyone can afford those things and has people in their life that have taken them. ugh. And your show is called morbid, don't trigger warn or complain how horrific so repeatedly. Love the show, can't stop my criticism, it's how I show my love. I'm a weirdo, what can I say? But ,seriously, we don't all have the time and money to vacation, don't assume.
