Episode 32: The Disappearance of Joan Risch

In 1961, Joan Risch disappeared from her Lincoln, Massachusetts suburban home. Authorities were called after Joan's four year old daughter told a neighbor "Mommy is gone and the kitchen is covered in red paint." What police found was a disturbing crime scene, reports of a woman in distress walking along the road, and the fact that Joan was fascinated by missing persons cases. This case is nearly 50 years old, and what happened to Joan Risch is still unknown - but we have strong theories, and also strong opinions.
