Episode 2 - Becky Wallin

In this episode our guest is the impressive and wise Becky Wallin.

Rebeca Wallin is the managing director of the Brigham Young University Young Company. Young Company is BYU's TYA touring company taking two shows a year to elementary and middle schools through out the state of Utah. Their fall show is usually a TYA script or an adaptation of a contemporary story. Their spring show is a condensed Shakespeare play. Each of their shows includes workshops facilitated by the undergraduate teaching-artists of the Young Company.

I had the great pleasure of being involved with the Young Company my entire time at BYU and having Becky back to talk with me was a treat. In the episode we discuss the history and impact of the Young Company, as well as the opportunities and challenges of running a TYA touring company at the university level. We get a sneak peak of what the Young Company is up to this year and we get the chance to learn a little bit about how Becky has seen the program grow during her time with BYU.
