We are unable to change our name within those episodes, but will be using For Fawkes’ Sake starting at episode 145 and going forward! New name, same magical Harry Potter compare and contrast!*

While we love Harry Potter, we do not condone or agree with its creator’s ignorant opinions. We stand with the trans community.

Join Ellen and Keighty as we discuss Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, covering the second half of Chapter Twenty-Two (The Unexpected Task) and the corresponding film scenes.

We post weekly podcast episodes comparing and contrasting the Harry Potter books to the movies, Potter Ponderings, a weekly trivia question (that can win you a sticker!), Sorting Hat Stories, and other Harry Potter related fun! When reading a name, you have to figure out how to pronounce it yourself, and as a result, sometimes you pronounce it really differently from how someone else might pronounce it. Keighty and Ellen pronounce Parvati and Padma Patil's names so differently from what I am used to! I used to pronounce Hagrid like Hay-grid. And I know someone who pronounces Dobby like Dough-bee. It's always interesting to hear everyone's different renditions. Anyway, I overall enjoyed this movie scene so I didn't hate the differences too much. But as always I missed the things that were left out. And I thought it was weird that this was the only scene ever where we see the kids in what I have to assume is a study hall. And I obviously wasn't a fan of Snape violently hushing the boys. Finally, I didn't like in the movie how Ron's dialogue was changed to sound so stupid when talking about Fleur and I didn't like that Harry and Ron were making fun of Neville in the movie when they were really nice to him in the book.

Another great episode!
