A Lot to Take In

Story: 3-Stars:
*************

This is the latest episode covering new audiobooks coming our way. While always appreciated, the really good stuff comes from the effort that goes into covering some not-so-obvious titles that a more casual industry follower may not be aware of. I always enjoy the prospect of reading an unearthed gem rather than a mass-marketed title. The genre coverage here, compared to prior episodes of the same type, is much improved.

Performance: 3-Stars
******************

This is bulky episode, both in length (just under 50 minutes) and content. My feeling is that a bit of the show's appeal has been lost trying to cover the sheer volume of titles. These are really knowledgeable hosts that add a lot of value by sharing some of the outstanding trivia and author/narrator/industry background behind these works, so there is a feeling that their wings have been clipped a bit in attempting to keep this show to a manageable duration. There is a "Goldilocks" formula for the 'just right' balance of content and editorial commentary to continue to strive toward.
