Eye opening & real

The rawness & vulnerability of Lawton's chronicling drew me in to be witness to her lifelong struggle & unintentional gaslighting. Her parents love for her is enviable & opened my eyes to the fact that you can have a loving home & be a loving parent but secrets have a way bubbling up anyways. I will be re-examining my own parenting & the ways I have kept truths from my children & the lies I have told myself to "protect" them. I have a lot to face about myself & lots to make up.

Fascinating and emotional

The story of Georgina and so many others who discover their uncertain parentage through DNA testing is a fascinating look at how we view ourselves and others. May we all, someday, be wise enough to realize we are all wonderful in our individuality and to know we ALL belong to one another. Beautiful story about accepting oneself

A deeply emotional look at the pain of not knowing where you come from. Knowing innately that you are different and learning how to make sense of the sins of the father... or mother.
