Great Beginning

This series is starting off with a mix of emotions, hidden agendas and struggles from the past. It is somewhat of a love triangle with Anya being torn between Jake and Colby. All three are very talented athletes and well know rock climbers. Jake and Anya are together but are in a struggling relationship. Colby has connections to both Jake and Anya from a few years past. What will happen when Colby is asked to join Jake and Anya on their next major climb? There is no love loss between Jake and Colby and with Anya being around Colby again after several years how will she deal with the new feelings she is developing for him. What will really leave you “hanging” is the ending!!! Oh, what an ending it is. Thanks Dakota from making us wait till August ☹ LOL.
This is my first book to read by this author and I was totally blown away by her writing style. The storyline was intriguing and captured my interest from the start, especially not knowing much about rock climbing and the skills, talents, technique, and dangers of the sport. Dakota really goes in to detail about it and puts you in the moment with the characters. The chemistry between Colby and Anya is sweet and steamy which is opposite from what she had with Jake, but will tragedy strike and bring Jake and Anya back together?
I love audio books and if you haven’t tried it you should. I will say both these narrators were new to me both Kelli Linsday and Jay Alder did a wonderful job narrating this beautifully written book. I enjoyed listening to them and their voices complimented each other very well. I am anxious to hear them in Unraveled Hearts, which I need to hear asap. Thanks, Dakota, for allowing me the opportunity to be on this audio team it was an honor. 😊
