A very surprising read!

5 Crazy Ass Must Listen Stars!!!!!

I have not read the previous book in this series so I was also a bit hesitant even though the blurb states it's a standalone. Well, it truly is a standalone. At no time did I feel like I was missing something.
I was surprised all around by this story though. BDSM books are one of my guilty reading pleasures. A book about a Dominatrix is one I have not come across at all. And let me tell you, I've read a lot of BDSM books. The most surprising thing though was emotional aspect of the story. I just didn't expect to shed tears like I did. Holy heck, I'm tearing up now and it's been over a week since I listened to this.
Vanessa Fewings is a new-to-me author that has pinged my interest. I'm eager to read more from her.

I have read all of the books, I own every ebook copy and all the audiobooks. So Im pretty much hooked on this series!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I had already devoured the book in one sitting prior. So I was beyond excited to listen to it!!

I must say, the narration surpassed my every expectation. Olivia Hart brought the audio version to a whole new level!!! Superb!

Not sure as I haven't read this book, but I do own several of the others and I`ll be sure to read them.

I`d have to say some of the more erotica moments as they are very detailed

Olivia has a lovely voice but I`m not sure if it really suited Scarlet but hey, that could just be me. But she most definitely does a lovely French accent, loved it, and I`ll certainly look into more of her work

Love Erotica Maybe You'll Love Enthrall Secrets

What made the experience of listening to Enthrall Secrets the most enjoyable?

This was a story that affected several emotions. There were times where I felt sad and there were times where I felt like I wanted to cry. The erotic and BDSM scenes kicked up the heat level. So the reader gets a little bit of everything.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Enthrall Secrets?

The most memorable moment for me was actually probably one of the saddest and that is probably what makes it so memorable. It was a scene that reminds you of your own humanity. And how much we can affect someone when you love them so deeply.

Which scene was your favorite?

One of my favorite scenes was when Ethan finally came to the realization that he needed to give up control of his life in order to have a future with Scarlet.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

It has to be the point in the story where Danton and Scarlet were so happy and then a personal tragedy slices right through that happiness.

Any additional comments?

This is a story where Scarlet was lucky enough to love two men. But if not for the first man, she may never have met the second. We see how Scarlet grows as a woman. I think the author was smart to let us go back in time with Scarlet to see how Danton awakened her sexuality. This story left me looking forward to listening to more of the Enthrall Sessions Series. And I can't wait to listen to this book again.

If you could sum up Enthrall Secrets in three words, what would they be?

A roller coaster ride.I loved Scarlet Winters. Dominatrix who is sometimes a sub, Bisexual. A strong woman with a painful past willing to open her heart and trusts with her body. She is confident and full of knowledge of the world and lifestyle she choose.I loved her passion for the lifestyle. Her dedication to learning the art of Dominance including being a submissive as part of her training. Scarlet showed us the positive side of BDSM : the good it can bring, the healing of the soul and the body.And that is where Ethan comes into the picture. Ethan, much like Scarlet has a painful past. Ethan is different male than we are used to. After a rocky start, he exposed himself to Scarlet and faced some difficult issues to be whole again. I loved Scarlet and Ethan as individuals, as a couple and I guarantee their journey will Enthrall you.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

Yes.I liked her writing and the plot was well developed.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

It matched the pace of the book no so much the content, IMO.The book is filled with mystery, intrigue, sensuality and sexuality, but the narration (at times) didn't convey all that.The book is filled with twists and turns, we go from sex scenes, to heart to heart talks etc., but the narration stayed the same. I found myself wishing for more emotion and drama from the narrator.But as the book progresses, you get used to the narrator and simply concentrate on the story.

Fans of the series will likely enjoy

If you have read the Enthrall series, you will likely enjoy this installment. Here we get the back story for Scarlet. We get to learn about some of the formative events that lead her to be the successful dominatrix we met in the earlier books.

I was engaged in this story throughout, and there were definitely some very touching moments. However, I found myself rolling my eyes at times at some of the hyperbolic language and instant attachments formed by these characters. I tried to suspend my disbelief, and just enjoy the character's relationships to one another, but it was difficult at times.

I think fans of this series will enjoy spending more time with these characters and learning more about them. I don't know that knew readers would be hooked by starting with this one.

The narration was tough for me. With audiobooks, what I really want it to become engrossed in the story and forget about the narrator. I was aware of the narrator throughout this story. Her annunciation and inflection made me constantly aware that this was being read to me and I felt that her general tone and voice didn't match what I imagined for Scarlet. Oddly, I thought her best voice was that of Danton.

Learning how to Love Life

First off, I'm so glad that authors, like Vanessa Fewings, who really know how to tell a story are starting to write erotica, one day soon I hope it becomes so commonplace that I won't be so deliriously happy when I find that rare author in the erotica genre that I like!

This story has suspense, heartbreak and hot sex! The heartbreak was a real surprise for me, I mean I actually teared up at one point In the story and I rarely do that!

Scarlet Winters is a dominatrix at a BDSM club, when she has a scene with reluctant sub Ethan, there's some serious chemistry between these two, but Ethan has ulterior motives. When it all goes terribly south, against her boss Cameron’s wishes she heads to Ethan house to apologize and instead ends up in a fight for her and Ethan's life. While cowering in a back office with an unconscious Ethan, Scarlet flashes back on her life with billionaire Danton Belfort.

This book is the first that I've listened to in the Enthrall series, but it's the seventh book in the series which makes me very happy because that means I have six more audiobooks to put on my list!

The audio quality excellent and the narrator Olivia Hart did a fantastic job, her pacing of the story and voice suit this genre well and I would not hesitate to purchase any book that she's narrating.

SIMPLY PERFECT BOOK AND VERY GOOD EROTICA

The was exciting and throughly planning through out the entire book. So much passion and love it will leave you meserized and wanting some more

Good story but a bit too drawn out

Not sure why this is book 8 and not book 4. It explains more about Cameron as well as Scarlet but is a bit confusing about the Ethan we see in Richard’s book. The portion of the book that is about Danton and Scarlet drags some but is sexy, sweet, full of emotion and feelings and very sad. Ethan and Scarlet’s story by contrast was rushed and seemed to not have much to it beyond mutual lust and a them having a shared secret and mutual enemies. It needed more work especially compared to the earlier romance. The narration was good but could have used an additional male narrator or 2. Worth a listen especially for fans of the series but I would listen to it after the first 3 books and before Cameron and Richard’s story’s.

A heart warming story of love and loss. Scarlet is starting to spiral and while trying to find herself falls in the lap of a stranger she was secretly sent to by Cameron. Danton the prominent Dom that everyone has heard of but no one has ever tamed, until Scarlet. The love that blossoms between them is so sensual and sweet all the way to their finally.
