Interesting Read

Seven year old Abbi is running from her mom's funeral, seeking the ocean they both loved so much. She swims for a sandbar, but is overwhelmed by the waves. Waking on the beach, she's face to face with a teen boy with unearthly green eyes, and she knows he's just saved her life. The boy turns and disappears into the sea.

Twenty five years later, Abbi has convinced herself that the boy was just her imagination. Visiting her father's lab one night, she finds an impressive man strapped to a gurney, a man with beautiful green eyes. When Abbi learns that men from Area 51 are on their way to take the man there, she knows she must save him. She and Hauke go on the run.

This is a steamy read that doesn't end in a cliffhanger. It was an entertaining read, the idea of another species under the ocean was interesting and not one I'd read before. Hauke was a mix of vampire, merman, alpha male, and telepath. Overall, it was a good start to the series, and set up some intriguing romances for the later books.

The narrator was good, I liked his regular speaking voice. He deepens his voice for Hauke and lightens it for Abbi, so it's easy to tell who is speaking. I requested a copy of the audiobook, and I'm voluntarily leaving a review.

Enigma is wonderful!

This book was written so you are hooked from the beginning. I like how Ditter Kellen has made a story that combines “real world” characters and “created” characters that are perfectly combined.
Meeting Abby in the beginning and having your heart just “connect” with her really was a welcome surprise.
This book having a storyline that will carry into the next book in the series, without the storyline being watered down or over “stretched”, makes me want to read/listen to the next one right away. Very happy to have found this series and I am most assuredly hooked!
I recommend this book to those that like a puzzle, some suspense, an “otherworldly “ romance that is right here in our oceans.

Endearing Romance

Enigma, is one of the best paranormal romances I've come across. The author explicitly gave mental pictures of each character and lead us into a wonderful sexy romance filled with dramas and suspense. I can't wait for book 2 of this series.

Great story

I thought this was a great first story in this series. I like that the female was strong but she also was rushing into trouble being stubborn. The male lead character was so sweet and there to protect her. I wasn’t surprised that the government was behind the conspiracy, that is almost like real life. But I was so happy they got their HEA. And I can’t wait to hear the next story. Uncle Tony deserves some one to love and them love him.

5 stars

What a great beginning to a new series I love the world that Ditter has created, it does contain sexual content, as you know a narrator can make or break a book well this narrator is great! Definitely brings the book to life!

Wonderful and captiving!

OMG! What a wonderful story! Doctor Abbigail Sutherland is a woman who is used to being alone, never thinking she would find love until she met the mysterious unconscious man in her father's lab who will be sent to Area 51 in a few hours. Hauke awakens after an underwater explosion and finds him strapped to a table with strangers around him. To top it all there is a strange virus going around and Abigail's father believes that Hauke is the cause and the cure to it.
Instantly, Abbigail and Hauke feel an instant attraction to each other, it is that attraction that leads Abbigail to help him. Helping him escape, she hides Hauke with the help of her uncle--a former CIA agent. Though this, Abbigail finds out that Hauke is from a different world, a world deep within and beyond the ocean surface. But this does not stop either of them falling in love with each other and once Abbigail realizes she is pregnant it is even more important that she flees with Hauke to his world in order to save her baby's life.

This story is fast pacing and will keep you listening until the very end. Ditter Kellen wrote a fantastic story and a must listen or read. I look forward to listening to the rest of this series.

What a fantastic 5 star listen

This is the first Merman story I listen to . It just drew me in and I count stop listening to it . The author has a great way of getting people to listen and her imagination is beyond words

The narrator (Johnny Mack ) had a great southing voice .
Hero is Kluous . Wo is the merman . Heroine is Abby (the human )
They both meet when both were young . Abby's mother passed . Who went swimming and almost drowned. Kluous saved her and fast forward many years and they meet again but Abby is the one that saves him

Pretty awesome

I thought this was going to be some erotic fluff novel due to the cover. I guess I was schooled on the reason you should never judge a book by its cover! I enjoyed this story ten times more than I thought I would!
