Enemy in Sight is "OUT OF SIGHT"!!

Exciting page turner.I found myself driving around just to hear more.Patrick O Brian and Jack Aubrey,CS Forester and Horatio Hornblower are great listens that I highly reccomend, but Alexander Kent and the narrator,Michael Jayston...WOW !! They really give you your money's worth from the get go.Interesting characters, multiple exciting battle scenes....a genuine "feel" for life at sea during the Napoleonic wars.
It is such a treasure to find books like this to listen to.Trust me.If this sounds like your cup of tea,you will quickly exhaust the remaining Alexander Kent titles and THEN move on to CS Forrester and Patrick O'Brian if you haven't already............AUDIBLE !!Get us more stuff like this !!

Please get more of Alexander Kent'S books, I'll buy each one.
As a lover of these type of books, Alexander Kent's novals are the first to make a character come so real that you can feel his pains and thoughts.
Truely amazing books.

Enemy in Sight

This was my first Alexander Kent book. It was great and so was Michael Jayston's narration. I am now going to see if Audible has the first in this series and see if I can read them in order. The 1790 sea stories are my favorite period. Kent did a super job with the battle scenes, I felt as if I was right in the middle of it.

Outstanding!

Once again another awesome story that keeps you entranced the entire time and occasionally ducking when the cannons roar and the metal starts to fly!

Captain Bolitho overcomes the odds yet again...

This man should have been an Admiral two books back... the author again does not disappoint... Bolitho has incredible luck and skill at sea and yet incredibly poor luck while on shore... you really have to feel for the man...
