Great Second Chance Romance

I really enjoyed this story.
Tully is such a solid hero. Successful hockey player with a close family, but lost out on his true love. What you see is what you get. Positive masculinity.
Lola is an independent, strong, artistic girl who was the one that got away. She is very protective of her family.
This story is told in the past and the present in dual POV. I wasn't prepared for the suspense in this story. Felt like I was looking over my shoulder a few times.
This Windy Harbor series has been so much fun and full of romance, spice and a crazy family.

loving this whole series

I really love this series, and Telly’s book was such a standout. We’ve met him in previous books, and you could already sense he was getting tired of being alone, tired of the grind of hockey, and missing his family. That plays a role here, but the real story goes so much deeper.

The mystery around his girlfriend—why she left, what actually happened—was incredible. I was blown away by the twists and the emotional weight behind it. It was unexpected in the best way, and I was completely hooked.

Both narrators did a great job. The female narrator had a moment or two where her “older character” voice blended a bit with younger characters, but overall she was superb.

I love this whole fictional family, and it was great seeing all the familiar characters pop in and out. It makes the world feel alive, and it’s fun getting updates on people whose stories we’ve already lived through. This book was another wonderful addition to the series.

Lost time

Lola is the one woman tbat Tully has always loved and never got over. When she shows up and the resort with his arch nemesis he is taken back but manages to slip unnoticed until he runs into them while chatting with his grandma. They do finally get a second chance after her split with said enemy and her and Tully have a few run ins. However, the reason she ended things was not revealed for so long and it was so frustrating. When it finally came out I was mad for botb characters and saddened.

Tully was betrayed and she was manipulated. Now they must try to find a way to get back what was stolen from them and find their forever. And deal with the betrayal but I loved the support from his family. There is some funny moments, some heat, some healing and more.

I later listened to the audio with Gideon Frost and Megan Wicks which both did very good in this duet style. Highly recommend the audio version

Mistakes and Tragedy

Omg this was so freaking EMOTIONAL! The lies, betrayal and lost love never gotten over! This one had me in a tizzy! I couldn’t understand why she left. As we slowly learn what happened five years ago my heart completely breaks for both of them. I wish Lola would have spoken up, but then we wouldn’t have had the story. But I’m sure dick weed would have found another way to split them up!

I definitely felt Lola made choices that didn’t have to be made, and I felt it caused more mistakes. But I get she was so young and just wanted what was best for Tully. Her parents sucked and she was trying to fix to many things at once. I felt for Tully because he just never knew and was left just completely heartbroken. I don’t know which of them had it harder? Tully being completely left in the dark or Lola always having her choices taken. This story was just so heartbreaking, and they deserved their HEA.

Second Chance

I’m so sad this series is almost at an end! I’ve fallen completely in love with the Whitman family, and I’ve been counting down the days for Tully’s story.

Tully and Lola were college sweethearts with dreams bigger than themselves, Tully was on the verge of going pro in hockey, while Lola was chasing her dream of becoming a tattoo artist. As their story unfolds, we finally learn what tore them apart, and it absolutely broke my heart.

Now, years later, Tully is back home before the season starts when he unexpectedly runs into Lola at his family’s resort. The chemistry between them is still undeniable, but Lola is keeping something close to her chest, and Tully can’t understand why.

Then fate steps in again at a wedding in Nantucket, where Tully reunites with his college teammates… and Lola. One unforgettable night together leaves Tully hoping for more, but she disappears before he wakes up. Unable to stop thinking about her, the heartbreak follows him onto the ice. Believing she’s still blocked him, he sends one final, raw, emotional text… only to receive a reply.
