Publisher's summary

You've been looking for something magical...meet your new obsession! Twilight meets Harry Potter. The Star-Crossed Series has over 13,000 reviews on Goodreads and Amazon.

In the fourth installment of the Star-Crossed Series, we find Eden Matthews a prisoner in the very household she set out to destroy. She is without magic and engaged to the same boy who betrayed her and everyone she loves. With her wedding looming on the horizon, conditions for her people continue to worsen, and her goal of offering her kingdom freedom seems further away than ever.

Her brother is free, however, and building a rebellion that hopes to rescue her. Eden's parents are working with the Resistance, and inside the Citadel Eden finds more allies than she thought possible. However, there is more at stake for Eden than just an unwanted marriage. Her heart is on the line, too, as she fights the pressures of palace life, the prejudice ingrained in her people, and a seemingly unbeatable king.

beyond frustrating

I struggle to finish this book. Eden's persistent ignorance is killing me. This love triangle is dragging and kills the rest of the story line.

I love a happy ending

I was so disappointed to find Eden not with Kieran I much prefer them together and what a lovely wedding scene at the end I'm sorry that everyone had to die he would have been nicer from where are the characters to live but the story makes perfect sense and now we truly have a whole new world for our characters

exciting, a good tead

I like Bailey's narration, she is a good pick for a teen girl, but also manages to make the other character voices clear. Others have slammed Eden's character as immature and whiney...have you never had a teenage daughter? That is what they are! She is quite a flirt, and there is a lot of sexual tension for a group of teens...but then, they are a bunch of hormonal teen who also have a great deal of responsibility heaped on them.

Great story but

I get tired of her whining. Hopefully she will stop it now. Great characters. Worth listening to.

Her ignorance

Too much of that, her character got a bit frustrating for me personally. I love this whole story, I’m reading all of it and very much enjoyed listening.

Great conclusion

I loved the first four books. I’m not really enthusiastic about the rest of the series with it not having Eden as a main character. However, it was getting repetitive. I think a break from the excessively dramatic and overly descriptive thoughts of Eden might be nice. Either way, it has been a great series and I was fortunate to find it accessible on audible.

E is an idiot in the series but she is a teenager and that is to be expected but the story is surprisingly beautiful.

Great story!

The story has a lot of twists and turns, some predictable, but still well developed and interesting.
