Publisher's Summary

New York Times bestselling sensation Kylie Scott's sexy, smart and unconventional opposites-attract love story looks at what happens when fate refuses to give up on what's meant to be…

When Susie Bowen inherits a charming fixer-upper from her aunt, she’s excited to start living her best HGTV life. But when she opens the door to find that her contractor is none other than her ex’s best friend, Lars—the same man who witnessed their humiliating public breakup six months ago—she isn’t exactly eager to have anyone around whose alliance is with the enemy. But beggars can't be choosers, and the sooner the repairs are done, the sooner she can get back to embracing singledom.

Things go from awkward to unbelievable when Lars discovers a divorce certificate hidden in a wall and dated ten years in the future—with both their names on it. It couldn’t possibly be real…could it? As Susie and Lars work to unravel the document’s origins, the impossibility of a spark between them suddenly doesn’t seem so far-fetched. But would a relationship between them be doomed before it’s even begun?

“Sweet and spicy—the unique setup, top-notch banter and charming enigma had me hooked.”—Anna E. Collins, author of Love at First Spite

Kylie and Andi always make for a good read (listen

I love Kylie Scott. This book was a different style for her in some ways. The divorce certificate was a huge part of this story but I'm still confused by its existence. I may have to re-listen. I loved the friendship between Susie and Cleo. I enjoyed the way the story unfolded for Susie and Lars. Overall, this is a really pleasant story with a HEA and a great narrator.

Not great

The main characters didn’t have chemistry. The narrator was flat. The mystery has a lame ending.

Loved it!!

I loved that the certificate was a main character without it being a vocal character.

Another amazing read and listen by Ms. Scott!

I was not sure what to expect with this new story line from Kyle Scott, but I should have known that she would find a way to pull it all together. It has taken me a while to get my thoughts together for a review as this is not more normal go to "genre". That being said, I purchase every single book Ms. Scott writes and then buy the audio! She has a way of relating to the reader that lulls you into her fictional world, making you wish you were the heroine who finds her happily ever after. Ms. Scott has a talent for snappy come backs, sarcastic wit and writing characters that are relatable. The dramatic performance by Andy Arndt is, as always, stellar. I never get tired of hearing her performances. As far as the plot and the ending, I am trying very hard not to spoil the storyline. I recommend you read it, then listen to it for a deeper perspective. I wish I could give it more stars.

Another great read!

I love Susie and Lars's story. I'm a massive fan of this author, and everything she writes is perfect. Andi is the queen of narration, so I couldn't wait to dive in. This story had my attention from start to finish, and I wasn't ready for it to end. I loved it.

Different angle for author

When I saw the hero's name, I thought the author was completing another series about 3 brothers. I was alittle disappointed at first because I love the other 2 books and listen to them often. That just means I have a great book to look forward to. (Please tell me it will be soon). The more I listened to this book, the more I enjoyed it. I don't mind the mystery about the document because honestly, some things are just a mystery. The family dynamics are all reasonable and definately exist in life. And I don't mind the ending because sometimes we just need a happy ending. Yes to this book and yes to recommending it. Thank you Kylie and thank you Andi for not disappointing.

Highly recommend!

I absolutely love Kylie Scott and all of her stories! This one does not disappoint! Witty, charming with a bit of angst! Andi Arndt knocked it’s out if the park as usual!
Note: be sure to listen to the prequel at the end of the book before starting, for a better grasp on the story

Catchy

First lets say the Kylie Scott never disappoints with her stories. The title is extrememly appropriate in fact it's catchy. You'll know what I mean when you read the story and you need to read this. Not only is the story different because of the way it's set up but it's great way she wrote it. The story about some self discovery for the female character. oh and the narration well they don't call Andi the Queen of narration for nothing.
