Code Breakers, Spies, and Heartthrobs

Marvelous story about earning one's way into the code breakers, living daily life, trying to do one's duty while staying true to one's self. Such a great adventure, including prejudices of the times (women, queers, classes), and communities to work beyond them.

I have enjoyed all three of the Women in War books. E.V. Bancroft does a brilliant job developing the characters through historically challenging times. Juanita McMahon remains my favorite narrator with a broad spectrum of character voices and nuanced emotional portrayals. Great book - great series!

Delightful Details

The author did an amazing job of drawing me in to war time England. The details about the blacked out windows and telephone booth to the rations and secrecy about their work laid the foundation for an intimate story of two very different women. Cam and Gloria are wonderfully unique and their relationship grows as the best do with time and conversation. I enjoyed the audiobook and the different English accents that added a layer to each character. This is another wonderful book by EV Bancroft and I suggest you pick it up, you won’t be disappointed!

Fascinating journey through the life of the code breakers in WWII

E B Bancroft is a masterful storyteller, and the narration by Juanita McMahon made this story the most immersive account of two people finding each other during war. Their journey toward each other was formed against the backdrop of life lived during the turbulence and uncertainty of a world war and the prejudice toward two women discovering their love for each other.

Great historical fiction.

Exceptional characters, intriguing and romantic. Authors story telling skills takes the reader back in time.

WWII romance and intrigue

This book is about codebreakers at Bletchley Park in England during WWII. I felt this book did a fantastic job of setting the place and time. The historical details were terrific. It was interesting to get a glimpse into how the codes were broken. Encrypted Hearts has intrigue and suspense, but first and foremost, this book is a delightful romance. I loved the background detail on our two main characters. We really get to know and root for them. This book is narrated by Juanita McMahon. She did a wonderful job.
