Publisher's Summary

It's time to face the unknown.

In an attempt to prove to the world that crop circles are man-made and aliens don't really exist, Ricky and his team of young enthusiasts (including one particular enthusiast, Josh, who is hopelessly in love with Ricky) start falsifying the phenomenon by creating their own crop circles. Their endeavors prove pretty much successful, but only until the day when Ricky sees his unique circle design replicated throughout the country by forces unknown.

Interesting Story

Creative and interesting story, I liked the characters and feel they were well developed. The narrator, William Turbett was fine for this one.

Close Encounters of the Sex Kind?

This was definitely an interesting story. The plot was unique and the characters believable. The angst between the boys is quite amusing. For the record, I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this audio book with the request to leave an honest review. I honestly enjoyed the story and think you should give it a listen.

like the ebook

The story is always full stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.

suitable for a YA audience

For the right (young adult) audience i expect this book would be entertaining enough, however it wasn't for me - I found the vlog-type story telling a little weird - but that's probably an age thing (lol!).

The premise of the story line is engaging enough and in future instalments I expect the characters will develop further, but in this instance I didn't feel any real connection with them.

The narrator's voice suits the college kid / geeky type of characters, but at times came across as "nasally" as if he has a cold - it did get better as it went on though.

Overall for a young adult audience it's probably a good book.
