Publisher's Summary

Will Rose and Hunter overcome their differences and embrace true love?

Rose Woodcourt, a poor seamstress, is too proud to accept help, even when her home and freedom are threatened by the nefarious Mr. Wolfe. Especially not from Hunter Thorne, a titled gentleman far above her station. Earls only court common girls for one reason, and Rose has no interest in being a wealthy man's mistress - however handsome and charming he may be.

Hunter is an honorable man; he refuses to turn his back on the spirited beauty regardless of how hard she pushes him away. As Mr. Wolfe's threats evolve into actions Rose has little choice but to turn to Hunter.

Can the pair put an end to Wolfe's nefarious deeds before Rose loses everything she holds dear, including her freedom?

A sweet romance

It was a short but sweet romance. It is a good beginning to what may be a promising series.

Saved

When Hunter meets his sisters seamstress, Rose he never expects his life to turn top turvy. Especially when he catches her disguised in boys clothing trying to get into the devious Mr. Wolfs house for evidence of wrong doing. Mr. Wolf will stop at nothing to make Rose marry him. Hunter can't marry her because of his title or so he tells himself. Hunter can't help but save Rose again and again. It will take almost losing her before he lets his feelings be known.

Not for me

This seemed very basic to me without a lot of nuance. I couldn’t bond with the characters.

The Earl can't resist!

When a lady in distress is also kind, beautiful and so charming, how can a man resist falling in love with her. Sweet story about love and a villain. Love the story and Anne Marie Damman does a great job as narrator. Don't miss this one.
