Wonderful gift for any child!

This book is so simple yet so important. It starts children off with positive affirmations that will stay with them throughout life. I bought this for my little niece and nephew but wish we had the book when my teens were little. It’s a tough world for the older kids these days and this is the perfect gift to start young ones thinking positively about themselves.

Spreading a much needed message.

It's a great book that encourages children to spread kindness to one another. I think that lots of children would appreciate the message that this book sends.A great concept for all ages to grasp, explained simply, with bright kid-friendly illustrations throughout. Highly recommended for a better world!.

Powerful argument

Some really good things about being human

Optimistic and a winner; this book will leave your little one feeling comforted. And whether you read it during the day or as a bedtime story, I think you might be rewarded with a little smile. It’s a book about being connected and all the good things that a human can do and feel. This book is simple and delightful.

I enjoyed this book

Great book. Highly recommended for anyone who leads or seeks to lead an organization, or anyone who wants to help improve their workplace culture. We can all use more empathy in our lives and our work.

This book goes into a lot of detail identifying examples of problems / pitfalls people and companies can fall into and how to build better habits so you can get out and stay out of the hole.

Loving every page that the author writes!

he book,"Self-Compassion" really helped me discover the difference between self-esteem and self-compassion. I love the exercises throughout the book. I already keep a gratitude journal, but I read some good tips on how to get the most from the experience. :) Being truly thankful is one of the most vital things we can do for our mindset. Following a morning mindset ritual is also very helpful. The section about daily self-compassion was especially helpful for me.

My kids and I loved this book. Super cute illustrations and a great message about loving yourself just as you are.A very awesome book cover, great colored pictures & proper font & writing style. A very well written children’s educational story book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment.

The exercises are so simple

I began reading Self-Compassion two days ago and I am astonished. Astounded. I cannot believe that in all my years of extensive, detailed therapy not one of my excellent therapists ever recommended these exercises.The exercises are so simple and the advice will set your brain to sparking, esp. if you have a spiritual bent as do I.

I am eager to work my way through the rest of the book and am pacing myself so that I don't do too much at once. I will check back in when I am finished.

Empathy

Self Compassion:

As a person with mental health issues, negativity can creep up on you at anytime. When this happens, I’ll pull out a card and journal about the topic to reset my mind frame. Would also be great in group settings of any kind to get conversation started. Wish they would have used these in some of my previous group therapies!

These are fabulous!

These are fabulous! I just gave them to a friend for her birthday and we sat around the dinner table reading the cards and sharing our thoughts. The author Dr. Herman Kynaston is a wonderful psychologist! I’m taking his online mindfulness course now and loving it! Way to go Dr. Herman Kynaston.
