Publisher's Summary

Are you looking to put an end to constant overwhelm and drained energy?

What drives the emotional state of an individual?

If you have ever felt affected by the emotions of those around you or overwhelmed by your sensitivities to feelings and emotions in general, you are not alone. Individuals with these emotional sensitivities are known as HSP (highly sensitive people), which is not to be confused with an empath. Although the terms HSP and empath are often linked together, they are actually not the same thing.

So, what is the difference between an HSP and an empath?

Experts in the field will agree, all empaths are highly sensitive, but not all highly sensitive people have the capabilities of being empaths. The distinction lies in how empaths can embrace and be in tune with another person’s authentic and real-time emotional, mental, or even physical states. To better understand their differences and to learn how you can develop the skills you need to lead a successful life as an HSP or an empath, we have compiled this two-book bundle to help you navigate through your journey.

In Empath and The Highly Sensitive: 2 in 1 Bundle, Judy Dyer offers loving ways to embrace the blessings of being an empath and will take you through the triumphs of learning how HSPs can overcome their everyday challenges. This book will help you see opportunities you may have never noticed before with your hypersensitivities to those around you. You will gain fruitful skills in:

Author Not An Empath

It didn’t take long to determine that Judy Dyer is not writing from experience but from the perspective of someone working to make a buck off of a population of people who struggle to live in an insensitive world. Her understanding of what it’s actually like to live with an unusual empathic ability is shallow and, ironically, apathetic. To say that empaths are outgoing, love to be the center of attention and are often, “the life of the party,” demonstrates her gross misunderstanding of empaths. Could it be that she narcissistically fancies herself an empath and is using the book to talk about herself? Possibly. As an empowered empath I caution anyone looking for help in managing their ability to look elsewhere. I wish I could return this book for a credit. I’d give it no stars if it were an option.

I loved this book

I loved this book because it describes my personality to a T and why I have struggled with certain areas of my life! I will be buying some hard copies for me and some family members because I believe my young niece is an HSP too!

A Good Self Help Book

I am generally not into pop psychology, self-help books, etc...So it was unusual that I picked up this book at all. But the description of the book sounded so much like me that I had to read it.

Very Nice

I found that my own sensitivities were much improved by working on my overall health using alternative self-help methods.

Listen It

Listening to this book has certainly helped me understand myself a lot better and I hope to manage my cards better in the future. It felt scary at times though considering how true most of the things were. This book is an absolute must read for anyone who feels that they have 'thin skin'.

HSP

If you or a loved one is highly sensitive, you'll appreciate why you/they go a little crazy at times. After reading this, I now see many people in a new light. You don't need to be a highly sensitive person to be sensitive to others' sensitivities.

Overall, Good

Not every chapter was very helpful or germane to me but overall it helped me understand myself better and helped me decide that I don't want to use this personality trait as an excuse for not doing certain things in life. I would recommend to anyone who suspects they may have this trait.

Recommended

Definitely would recommend to HSPs or sensitive people in general, this explained a lot about me and my sister, and I haven't even finished the book!

It really changed the way I view my life

It really changed the way I view my life and my responses to people, places and things. Each question on the sensitivity questionnaire applied to me, and my relief at understanding my nature was enormous. I can now easily spot other highly sensitive people, and understanding my highly sensitive nature affected my life and relationships in a very positive way.

I love this book.

I love this book. So many are made to feel bad and be ashamed of being a sensitive person, as if it is something they need to get over or just grow out of.
