Ms. Suzanne Baars M.A.
In this talk, Catholic psychotherapist Suzanne Baars draws on the anthropology of St. Thomas Aquinas and the pioneering work of the late Catholic psychiatrists Conrad Baars and Anna Terruwe to illustrate the role of the emotions in assisting one's spiritual growth.
When seen as psychological motors designed to be guided by reason, the emotions may be employed by the Christian in the service of what is good and one is better able to grow in the love of virtue. Suzanne also explains authentic affirmation and how living in an affirming way aids in developing the capacity to love and be loved.
