Publisher's Summary

At work:
Do you sometimes overreact when the stakes are high?
Maybe it's hard for you to understand what effect your decisions have on your team's motivation?
Or do you react without thinking when a peer surprises with a question you were not prepared for?
If so, then keep on reading.

According to experts like author Daniel Goleman, emotional intelligence contributes to over 80% of business success. You can argue about the exact percentage, but it's common sense that IQ doesn't give any guarantees by itself.

Back in the Industrial Age, a manager solely relying on his IQ could be successful.

But we have entered the Information Age now.

Having a high IQ isn't enough anymore to manage modern day knowledge workers and millennials.

The higher your emotional intelligence, the better your results to empower the team. Your team needs a solid and stable manager during this time of constant change. And you can be that manager, simply being applying your emotional intelligence.

Jeff Bezos (amazon.com) and Warren Buffett (Investor) became billionaires thanks to their high emotional intelligence.

A small part of what you will discover in Emotional Intelligence in Business:

  • How to simplify your internal decision-making process to become more productive
  • How you can manage the emotions of your employees and peers to reach your desired goal
  • The three emotions you want to prevent to avoid in your team
  • The four-week EQ booster program, from EQ student to EQ master in 20 minutes a day
  • Nine ways to long-lasting self-motivation, to become your best self
  • Seven traps where emotion wins over logic, leading to bad results. And how you can overcome to so logic wins, and you'll reach your desired end goals
  • The easy five step model you can use to manage and reduce your worries for better leadership
  • How to recognize the seven facial expressions in one second so you know exactly what to say in a difficult conversation
  • Seven short and simple steps to switch from sympathy to empathy and boost the productivity of your team
  • Three ways to leverage positive emotions in your team even better
  • And much, much more.

You might think emotional intelligence is a trait you're born with. Scientific studies prove that after only a few hours practicing emotional intelligence with 5-year-olds, they noticed a significant improvement. It's a skill you can develop and improve in a short amount of time, despite your age. That's why a big part of this book is dedicated to the four-week EQ booster program, which you can apply in just 20 minutes a day.

Nailed it

These are great activities for your younger kids and I recommend them for a younger age group. Because I liked the yoga pretzels so much, I was hoping the activities in mindful kids would be more adaptable for my older students.

This is such an important thing that is often overlooked. It is one of the better self-help books. Like most, it brings different thoughts to how to better work with people. This book may help you recognize my own areas of needed growth.

Perfect guide

A perfect continuity for everyone who has to listen ''Emotional Intelligence'' by the same author. If you are in the work force and holding a job, this knowledge will transform the way you understand ''working'' and will make you a happier worker. Amazing insights backed up with scientific explanations but still easy and pleasant to listen for a non-scientific mind.

Emotional Intelligence has already achieved part,

Emotional Intelligence has already achieved part of its stated goal, in that the concept has become accepted and assumed part of our cultural view. For those of us, like myself, who are slow to read this work and get on the bandwagon, the audiobook is a decent enough start, but the abridgment just feels like it cut too much. Still a good introductory work, especially for the average commuter.

Recommended to all Friends

It has a lot of comparative information that I have amassed from various sources and for the duration of regular day to day existence, in any case, it related a couple of the spots and gave some essential exercises. This is a better than average reference to have around when you get yourself not actually amped up always and the all-inclusive community you share it with. Recommended to all Friends.
