Publisher's Summary

Do you possess everything that is required to be successful in all spheres of life, from interpersonal relationships to work to social life?

Do you believe that IQ, or intelligence quotient, is the only form of intelligence that matters in today’s world?

Today’s socially frenzied world needs more than just academic knowledge, technical skills, and classroom learning for accomplishing real success. This form of intelligence, though relevant, will seldom teach you about building gratifying interpersonal relationships, a rewarding career, and a fulfilling social life.

Though IQ can help your prospects of getting a job, it does not guarantee you will be a happier, inspired, and well-adjusted person at work. It does not guarantee you will be able to be a powerful and inspiring leader or kick-ass negotiator, adept problem-solver, or persuasive salesperson.

Sorry to burst this bubble, but the real key to success in relationships, work, and life are not taught in the closed confines of a classroom. Despite boasting of a high intelligence quotient, there is every chance you may still struggle in your personal, professional, and social relationships due to the lack of trying to identify and process your and other people’s emotions. In today’s age, a high emotional quotient is one of the most important determinants of success.

Did you know that emotional intelligence makes up for 90 percent of what distinguishes high performers from the average ones?

The good news is that emotional intelligence is not an inborn trait that is mostly determined by genetics, unlike intelligence quotient. It is a form of intelligence that can be gained over some time through consistent effort, discipline, and practice.

Anyone wanting to improve their emotional quotient and willing to give it a decent shot can build their EI muscle over some time.

In this audiobook, you will learn everything from developing greater self-awareness to strategies for regulating your emotions to learning how to identify and cope with other people’s emotions to enjoy more rewarding relationships and lower conflict-causing situations.

Here is a sneak peek of what will take away from the audiobook:

  • Proven strategies for growing self-awareness
  • Mastering the art of regulating your emotions for optimal good in any situation (this is different from holding back your emotions)
  • Robust strategies for identifying and dealing with other people’s emotions to enjoy more harmonious and fulfilling relationships
  • Tried and tested techniques for building higher emotional intelligence
  • Gain control of your and other people’s emotions for enjoying a more rewarding fulfilling personal, professional, and social life

Loved it

In the event that more individuals were shown passionate knowledge, there'd be less reliance on antidepressants, less savagery, and better amicability around the world. I was never encouraged how to deal with my feelings in a sound manner so they bolster me and my objectives and learning this one aptitude has caused me to acknowledge how profitable it truly is. I keep on taking a shot at myself when I'm tested or activated yet have quite a lot more certain now about my capacity to react fittingly to each circumstance I experience.

Technically proficient

I've started this book twice before. I finished this time. While I think there is a wealth of information about the subject of emotional intelligence, I wish there was more practical application to increase one's EI.

Changed my life.

An extraordinary asset for building up the passionate knowledge important for initiative and even essential association aptitudes. I took in a lot and anticipate re-testing myself one year from now as I apply these aptitudes.

Great ideas , but slightly limited perspectives at times .

It has many good points . My reason for giving it four stars is it sometimes only gives partial perspectives on things , like for example “wake up at 4!” And then digging in like it’s the only way ....
You can wake up at 7 and he focused and tenacious .
Partial perspectives aside, it still contains very good info and great ideas .
The narration is also excellent , and commands attention .
All in all, I loved this audiobook and think it was worth my time and commitment listening to it .

Don't judge a book by it's title.

I would have expected something that had a solid foundation and was not so repetitive. There is nothing scientific in this book. I do not need to hear about auras or chakras. Nor do i believe carrying rocks in my pocket will help my energy levels. I would love to get a count of how many times the word empath is used. Would not recommend this title.
