Obvious

The narrator had a very clear voice and presented the information excellent. The skills/ tips suggestions are obvious, but it's good to be reminded. I would've liked to see more everyday life examples incorporated.

Enjoyable audio book to listen to.

Conventional wisdom suggests that emotions can be stuffed into a little box when we don't want them to take control of our behavior. Experience suggests otherwise and Emotional Intelligence explains why. It also tells you why it's so important to have a grasp of your emotions and know what you're feeling when and why. It also talks about understanding the emotions of other people. I enjoyed every bit of it.

Excellent audio book of Its kind

First, I have to say that it's funny how we don't think about emotions that much. I mean, they hold so much sway over what we do and say each day. This is something I now realize after reading this book. It was interesting to see the brain structures that make our emotions hijack our reason (and hijack our behavior) and the author's writing style was thought provoking. I'm really looking for more how-to and suppose I'll have to find that elsewhere.

I highly recommend

This is truly a great book that explains that emotion is just as important in life as anything else. I think everyone should read a book like this to learn to be better, more informed, people. I know several people in my own life who have benefitted from knowing things like body language and emotion. This book will show and teach these things to you.

How to understand emotional inteligence

The author structures the discussion of emotional intellect into a practical way of gaging intelligence of people other than their IQ intellect. He draws on experiences from people who chose to react in courteous respectful way as opposed to giving into impulse to respond in such a way which might be regretted afterwards.

Better than I expected

I'm not sure what I was expecting out of this book but it was more than that. I don't read a lot of selfimprovement books or psychology stuff. I did read this and I found it really interresting. I've found it has helped the way I think about my children, co workers, and husband. I've really enjoyed it.

Best self-help book I've read yet.

Not only did this audio book help me to understand where my own problems were, it taught me how to keep my children from the same troubles. This is a self-help, and a parenting book rolled into one.
