Infomercial for CBT

I'm up to chapter six and it feels like the entire book is just an ad trying to convince me to go do CBT. Heaven forbid I would want to do some self-help during while social distancing... SMH. It almost feels like he's trying to convince existing therapists to offer CBT.

The narrator is super robotic. It feels like he's reading from a textbook.

Great

If you want to improve your EQ, developing intrinsic motivation is absolutely essential! This book explains all the important aspects of emotional intelligence in detail, without bogging you down with unnecessary fluff.

Fantastic books!

This is a very valuable collection of books. Full of good advice no nonsense content. I highly recommend buying it, it is one of the best books I have read about cognitive behavioral therapy and emotional intelligence. The reading voice is not at all a problem the pacing and tone make the content easy to take in. I will be re-reading these books in the future.

Horrible narrator

The voice of the narrator in this book is horrible. I stopped listening after 2 minutes. I dont not recommend this to anyone.

Great listen for academic refill

Good Book for academic refill. If you're looking for ways to train EQ I recommend "Emotional Intelligence 2.0" by Dr. Travis Bradberry or do some courses online instead.
