Great Book, a little dated, Author a little arroga

Great book that helped launch the emotional intelligence / psychology craze into this field. Most of the information is pure gold. Some information seems stretchy and the author shows a bit of overconfidence in his knowledge and field. However, all-in-all, a must read for people interested in the field!

A collection piece

The benefit to this book to me was conflict resolution physiology in a brain function way more emotional and then as a tool application. Maybe once a year I read books about some self improvement or a book like this to help in the work place as well as hopefully change me to be a better person. I struggled with the paperback book so this was great to help get through the book stack.

Good Information, Dry narrator

"The content of the book is good, but the narrator reading the book sounds like a robot, the intro is by the author which is better but once you get to chapter 1 there is the same dry voice for the rest of the book. "

Love this topic!

"For me, this part of the audiobook really struck home. There are lots of exercises to be able to identify your emotions and self-introspect in a helpful way. For example, you will learn about emotional polarization, neutral thinking, and how to develop emotional discipline. My favorite part was about learning intrinsic motivation, and the four aspects to increase intrinsic motivation. They are: "

A solid audio book

This was a solid book on the basics of EQ. It worked its way from the actual response in the brain to what shapes the response that a person will have. A big focus was towards children and the impact growing up has on a person. I would have liked to see more about the role of EQ in the work place and how to improve and develop better EQ int he workplace tough.
