Follow this

I learn how to live with positive and negative emotions as opposed to using food for dealing with these emotions. If you struggle with emotional eating and are willing to invest energy in self-exploration and improving your health instead of another diet, this book is for you!

How did this book get 138 5-star reviews?

I am at a loss to understand the ratings of this book. The platitudes are obvious, superficial and in many cases ridiculous in terms of addressing emotional eating ( like "learn a foreign language" as a way to distract yourself). I appreciate the author had success and wanted to help others . That's all I can say for the book.

Quick listen!

Emotional eating is when we eat in order to suppress and escape from a certain emotion or an emotional experience, with food changing how we feel.

Fantastic!

I really want to eat really helped me to stop binging. What I liked about the book is that the author suggests maintaining a journal, which keeps me aligned with the promise to myself to complete the weekly tasks which are a form of commitment to myself and healthy eating. In order to manage my eating, I learn to manage my thoughts and emotions.

Good book with meaningful exercises

Good book with meaningful exercises that help you realize why eating is more about personal experiences than about actual food. Not a diet book that stresses deprivation, the author instead emphasizes understanding how feelings about yourself formed your relationship with food and how you are already prepared to help yourself eat properly so food is both healthful and rewarding.

Great book!

Weight loss is barely mentioned and emotional eating is approached in the context of emotional regulation and awareness. I am eating somewhat less after listening this book (which I'm listening again, something I NEVER do) but I'm not dieting. It makes sense and feels right.

End Emotional Eating

This is a great reference for addressing almost any area for your life where you feel you have little to no control. The exercises in the book help to make the topics and concepts in the book real & tangible. I truly enjoyed listening it. I feel like there is hope & an actual method to live a value-based life.
