Publisher's summary

Emma Yoder loves, and enjoys watching the children she nannies for while on her Rumspringa. But she also misses the Amish way of life and thinks more and more often of returning to Coach, a small town by Stoney River. She yearns for the true comforts of familiarity and Gott’s plan for her life. She left at sixteen, not to live wildly, but instead to find meaning in work and explore the outside world. If she was hesitant of what she wanted before, she realizes what’s best when Tyler, the children’s father, corners her unexpectedly and pressures her to move with the family as his job now requires relocation. Adding more confusion to the mix, he makes surprising romantic advances on her which only makes her more resolute to return home, which she decides to do the next day. Getting off the train she notices a familiar childhood acquaintance. But Abe is no longer the boy she remembers, but a man in his own right, just as surprised to see her. He politely, if hesitatingly, offers her a ride home, and she accepts. The conversation is cordial, and he drops her off late at night and says goodbye. Life is immediately as if she’d never left, her stern father happy to see her but putting her to work early morning. And now the family is even more insistent on her baptism. She’s also not home long before suitors approach her father requesting to court her, and one of them is an interesting surprise. But is it good or bad that one of her suitors seems quite strict in the Amish ways, ways far more than she’s used to? Is he even sure about seeking her based on his own appraisal of her character? For that matter, would she even take notice or say yes if he did? This is a sweet, clean Amish Romance from Emma Maas, set in the Hearts of Stoney River community and series.
