Publisher's summary

With high school over, Emily Starr is ready to find her destiny - but she's not quite ready to leave the safety of New Moon farm. She knows that she doesn't need New York City or some other exotic locale to help her become a famous writer, but as all of Emily's friends begin moving away to pursue their own aspirations, she wonders if she's made the right decision. After suffering through a devastating illness, receiving rejection notices from multiple publishers, and nearly losing Teddy, her childhood sweetheart, Emily realizes that her quest for love, acceptance, and happiness is far from over.

This new edition lovingly restores the original unabridged text of the final volume of the Emily Starr trilogy and includes an all-new, exclusive introduction with special memories from L. M. Montgomery's granddaughter.

Lucy Maud Montgomery writes the VERY best stories

I loved this trilogy immensely. I did get weary of the Murray pride. But all in all a very good story.

Normally LM Montgomery is my favourite

But ugh this book was 8 hours of exasperating frustration and literally five minutes at the very end of satisfaction. Next time I listen to the Emily books I’m just gonna stop after book two.

Loved it when I was young; love it as I am older.

I loves this story in my youth. I love it as much if not more now that I am older. so happy to share it with my children.

Not the same

This book was not what I expected it to be. I thought it would be more romantic but it wasn’t. It was a good book but I’d rather read the first and second book.

Amazing

Sobbed. SOBBED at the end. I first read this series when I was a teenager and revisited now in my 30s and STILL adore it. Lovable characters. Wholesome. Endearing. Team Teddy forever,

I wish there was more!

Emily throughout most of this book is between the ages of 22 and probably 27, being 26 myself this book hit really close to home. A lot of people will say that it was meandering with her self-doubt and depression, but I feel like it captures perfectly how angst and sugar water cutters can really impregnate a mind and leave it wanting. The only fault I find in it, is that there aren’t more books in the series! I wish this book would have gotten the same treatment as Anna Green Gable‘s dead, with several books spanning her entire life. The end of this book left me screaming for more. I don’t think I’ve ever read a book by Montgomery that I never liked. If you’re longing for something cottage core, or just something from a forgotten time that you feel nostalgic for, read this book series.
