Everybody has a secret. Mine's a little different, though. I didn't even know about it until the first day of swim class in seventh grade. You see, I'd never been allowed to go in the water before. As it turns out, swimming comes naturally to me. Very naturally. In fact, so naturally that you might even say . . . well, it's true.

Here's my secret: I figured out that I'm a mermaid.©2009 Liz Kessler; (P)2009 Listening Library

Narrator's voice captivates you, as well as the storyline. This story makes me think to when I was younger and wanted to become a mermaid. Also the way the story has so many many descriptive words it really helps you to imagine your own underwater world.

Excellent

The only thing that my daughter doesn’t like about this book is that Emily was cursed and she was so scared that she had to sleep in my room because she doesn’t like anything bad happening to people or characters because her little sister has a disability and she’s very protective of her. 😇🥰☺️😉

Good but
