LOVED IT!

I am a BIG fan of the J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood novels, and let me be the first to say that if you are searching for a series to feed your BDB obsession - this series is it! The narration is SUPERB! The story is well written, and each book is heavily linked with the story before it. The characters and the plot sequence are well executed... I'M HOOKED! I can not wait for the next release in the series! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!

GOOD vs EVIL VAMPIRES - BRILLIANT

This series continues to bring us a new type of paranormal romance story. It's about the good vamps (Guardians) who fight against the evil vamps (Darkbloods) and it throws in some interesting characters along the way for us to love and/or hate coupled with an entertaining and totally enjoyable storyline.

In my opinion, nothing beats Black Dagger Brotherhood by JR Ward, but this is along the same lines of a 'brotherhood of warriors' and comes in a close second.

Worth a credit? Oh yea !!!

The story

Who was your favorite character and why?

I have more then one Alfonso Lilly and Zoe. Alfonso because he was all the Alpha male vampire a women would want. Lilly because she was a strong women characters who stood by her man not matter what. Zoe because she is adorable 8 1/2 year old girl.

What three words best describe Eve Bianco’s voice?

She did a great job with the different voices, but she recorded the volume to low when narrating the story. I had my volume on high and I still couldn't hear the story if I was doing something like cooking. I even got my daughter to check the volume she said it was low to her too. Your studio needs to record on higher volume and let the listener set there volume.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes it was with Zoe the 8 1/2 year old daughter of Lilly's!! But it would be an important spoiler if I told why!!

I loved Embraced by Blood. It is bk2 in the Sweetblood series by Laurie London. We meet Alfonso Serrano the hero of the story in bk2 Bound by Blood. Alfonso has been a double agent for a century. He has infiltrated the Darkblood Alliance and risen to the top. All awhile passing important information to his long time lover and operative Lily DeGraff who we also, met in bk1. Lily has a daughter Zoe who was born after Alfonso left for Europe about 9yrs ago. Steven Zoe's father is irresponsible and a bit neglectful towards her. You will be wishing that Alfonso was her father as you read how wonderful he is toward Zoe. Hummm!! is all I am going to say on that matter.

The Darkblood Alliance knows that Alfonso is there traitor. Resulting in the death of there overlord Pavlos in bk1. The DB have sent a ORS/Order of Red Sword a blood assassin named Rejavik to hunt torture and kill Alfonso and anyone close to him.

Even after Alfonso tells Lilly that he doesn't really love her, a year later she is still in love with him. Alfonso is trying to protect Lilly from the Blood Assassin Rejavik. Lilly herself is one of the Guardians Lead and best Blood trackers. She can scent humans and vampires and track them. But lately her scents are off causing her to take longer then usual to track. Because of her diminished skills her young blood tracker trainee Kip is kidnapped and tortured by DB before she can find him. This is when her and Alfonso hook back up after a years separation.

The author Ms. London has expanded her Sweetblood Vampire series. She is creating a fascinating world of Vampires. Embraced by Blood will have you on the edge of your seat before your finish. London stories build slow and before you know it you are enthralled in a fast paced, action packed, sensual romance full of great surprises. I loved this story and all the characters in it. Especially Alfonso, Lilly and Zoe. I Highly Recommend The SweetBlood series by Laurie London.

I Really Enjoyed It!!

Too bad this isn't the first book in the series. I like to start series from the beginning. Unfortunately Audible didn't label the books.
However, the story was great!!! Excellent plot, likeable characters, great world building and satisfying conclusion.

You won't be disappointed.

More Sweet Blood

This is a good follow up to the first book.Alfonso,Dom's misunderstood brother from the first book is our hero. He sees himself as not good enough to have any happiness in life,after his double agent status as been revealed. His love, Lilly has her work cut out for her but she is a strong woman and a valued member of Dom's team. I liked the story but the narrator is starting to grind on my ears. It would have been nice if she kept Lilly voice the same texture as in the first book. But as predicted she takes on Mackensie's voice from first book. But the story is good enough to warrant me want to continue on to book 3.
