Publisher's Summary

Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers features a group of fun, flirty, and emotional friends who gather each summer at their Cape Cod cottages. They're sassy, flawed, and so easy to relate to, you'll be begging to enter their circle of friends!

Embraced at Seaside by Addison Cole is the sweet edition of New York Times best-selling author Melissa Foster's steamy romance novel Seaside Embrace. The story conveys all of the passion you expect between two people in love, without any explicit scenes or harsh language.

PLEASE NOTE: This is true "sweet with heat", and Jana and Hunter's story begins with a large dose of steam. It is the steamiest in the series and remains true to the characters' personalities.

After working hard all day creating his beautiful metal sculptures, Hunter Lacroux likes to unwind with a hot babe - or two. But after spending a handful of nights with smart, sassy, and beautiful Jana Garner, the woman who challenges everything he does and says, Hunter wants more.

As a dancer, boxer, actress, and waitress, Jana is tough, organized, and as dedicated as she is committed. She has to be to maintain her crazy schedule. But when it comes to men, Jana's had a string of bad relationships, and there's only one thing she'll commit to - not committing.

Passion ignites every time Jana and Hunter are together, but the closer Hunter gets, the faster Jana runs. When Hunter lays on the charm, Jana throws out a challenge she's sure he can't meet, and Hunter steps up to the plate, forcing her to face her hurtful past or let go of him forever.

new duo narration for this series

Audio makes this a worthy afternoon listen while driving down the road, cleaning house, lounging by the pool, or just doing mindless work. The ebb and flow of the dual narration makes for an engaging sweet romance. You get all the words brought to life and made more vivid in your mind. I am a huge fan of audio books. I love the previous narrator of the series up to this point. I was hesitant to have all that change to a dual narration without her anywhere involved. I was surprised. Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden makes for a convincing duo. I did find that I could get lost just as easily in their cadence, pitch and flow. The audio was smooth and flowing. The only issue was at time distinguishing the females was a small challenge and the male laced female voices on occasion. The audio still lived up to making a picture turn in my mind.

The audio allows you to feel the heat and passion even without the explicit comments or descriptives. Listening to Hunter and Jana fall in love was beautiful. Embraced at Seaside was very much beach worthy, fireplace worthy, hot-steamy bubble bath worthy, need for hope worthy read/listen that will send warmth and pleasure racing through you. Addison Cole has taken her works and made the to where they included the reading populations that can do without all the details of the coming together, but still coming together. The story itself stands all on its own

Jana and Hunter

Another great story from Addison Cole, Embraced at Seaside is a heartwarming, sweet with a touch of heat story. This is a great addition to a wonderfully fun and entertaining series. The characters were fun getting to know. Two people not looking for any kind of relationships or love both have a bit of commitment phobia but they do have an unmistakable attraction to one another and you can feel the chemistry or passion between these wonderfully stubborn and sometimes bed partners. I really enjoyed this audiobook, Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden made this story come alive just the way they read it made the characters real and easy to picture these great characters and their surroundings.
The narrators really grab you from the very start and keeps you wanting more and more. I absolutely loved this fantastic audiobook and I absolutely recommend it.

Great series

First leave me say that I love every book in this series and that they just keep getting better! Hunter is a ladies man, no string attached kind of man. Jana has been hurt before, and now doesnt believe long term relationships are meant for her. Hunter is learning how to "romance" a woman and trying his best to get Jana. Jana has been hurt too bad In the past and is now trying her best to resist Hunter. They have such great chemistry and you just can't help but to be drawn into their lives when reading this book! I can't wait to see what Addison Cole has in store for us in her next book in this series!!
Melissa Moran is so easy to listen to. She brings this story to life. I always enjoy listening to her.

Could this be love?

There’s more to this story than you think at first. If you’re a Melissa Foster fan you’ve come to expect alpha males with a tender side and smart, sassy females who challenge their heroes on their way to their HEA. But you also get so much more. The “family knows no boundaries” message is there in each book, but it’s presented in an honest way. You get the unconditional support along with a healthy dose of “I wish my family could stay out of my business” as well.

Jana and Hunter are two souls who connected as “bed buddies” keeping it casual, but Hunter Lacroux finds himself wanting more. More of Jana Garner and it confounds him. Jana’s smart mouth challenges him at every turn, only drawing him in deeper.

Jana has herself spread thin with her many obligations and insane schedule, dancer/instructor, boxer, actress and waitress at her brother Colton’s bar, her life is anything but simple. Still, commitment phobic due to several bad relationships she decides she’s never getting involved again, which is why she’s running scared of her own reaction to being with Hunter and only Hunter in the last six months.

As Hunter works on a new metal sculpture for a contest he and his brother Grayson are entering, he decides to help friend and co-worker Clark save his marriage. This brought out a side to Hunter that I think surprised even him. He looked up “how to be romantic” in an attempt to help Clark and so begins his own exploration of what it means and how it impacts him as well.

As Hunter pursues Jana, she runs fast, but their explosive passion pulls her back. Will Jana allow her fears to end what could possibly be the one true love for her? Or will she trust Hunter and find that real love is worth taking the leap? Of course you get more of the Seaside girls and their men who always add to the story with their antics, insight and laughs.

The narrators Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden were new to me and I found they did a great job in both pacing and evoking emotions.

Wonderful chemistry!

I had a good time with this audiobook. This was a nice quick romance that really grabbed me from the very start. I really didn't want to stop listening and couldn't wait to see Jana and Hunter figure things out. This is the eighth book in the Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers series but it read absolutely fine as a stand alone. Addison Cole's books are the sweet with heat versions of some of Melissa Foster's books. This book is the sweeter version of Seaside Embrace and I found that there were still quite a few steamy scenes to keep things interesting. I am glad that I decided to give this book a try.

This book starts with a bang! At the start of this book we find Jana and Hunter in a morning after situation. They have hooked up a few times but Jana is in a hurry to get out the door. Jana is a very busy woman. She works as a dance instructor, waitress, and trains as a boxer. Hunter is an artist and makes metal sculptures. Neither Hunter or Jana do relationships.

Hunter decides that he wants something more from Jana and makes an effort to be romantic. It was fun watching Jana try to figure out what was going on while Hunter was trying to determine his next move. These two really had a lot of chemistry and seemed perfect for each other. Their personalities meshed almost perfectly. Hunter was so patient with Jana as she worked through some of her issues.

Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell did a great job with the audio. I really liked the fact that this book used dual narrators to tell the story since I think that works best with dual point of view stories. I think that both of the narrators did a great job with the voices of a somewhat large cast of characters and brought a lot of emotion to the story. I wouldn't hesitate to listen to either of these narrators again in the future.

I would recommend this book to fans of contemporary romance. This was a great romance between two characters that I couldn't wait to watch find their happily ever after with each other. I found this book to have plenty of heat along with some scenes that melted my heart. I cannot wait to read more of Addison Cole's work in the future.

I received a copy of this audiobook from the author / publicist.

AMAZING Story

I just listened to the audio version of Touched By Love. It is so much better then I remembered. The narration by BJ Harrison is wonderful. I listed to the audio wile driving to and from work. It makes the time in traffic bearable.
I love returning to the Seaside Gang. Jana is a strong woman. Hunter is a sexy heck. They were secretly hooking up for 6 months. They were actually committed to each other, however, neither one knew it. You will not be disappointed, Embraced at Seaside is such a sweet story. I highly recommend it. This book has a HEA with no cliffhangers.

...beyond the words and into the feelings ...

Addison Cole tackles some of realities most emotional moments with her own brand of sweetness and common sense. Embraced at Seaside takes aim at conquering fears. Jana looks like she has control of her life, but is unwilling to let her emotions get in the way of real life. Hunter has just right blend of teddy bear and bulldozer to knock her off her game, but can he force her to make room for him in her heart? The words I know by heart, but Mitchell and Arden took me beyond the words and into the feelings that pack an even more powerful punch.

Addison does it again

Hunter works hard all day on his stunning, in demand sculptures and enjoys nothing more than relaxing in the evening in the company of a beautiful woman. Jenna is equally as hardworking, either during her boxing training or teaching her dance classes. Due to a horrible experience with her last boyfriend, Jenna has committed herself to no commitments.

Jenna and Hunter meet as their families become intertwined. As they meet more frequently, the passion becomes more intense and they give into the feelings. Only the more Hunter asks for more, Jenna starts to run, afraid history may repeat itself and also it could ruin their friendship. Jenna challenges everything Hunter says and does and it only makes him want her more. Jenna needs to face her decisions of the past, to enable her to get closer to a happier future.

As much as I love the story of Hunter and Jenna, I did find the female narration a little hard to listen too at times. I couldn't take well to the accent, but I did enjoy having two narrators for this story.
