Publisher's summary

From the realms of the Afterlife Saga comes a new spin on this Gothic world and continuing on from the Glass Dagger in the Afterlife Chronicles, This is The Hell’s Ring....

‘When Theo woke to find a beautiful woman at his bedside and not the Demonic sight he was expecting, he had to question what exactly had happened to him down in that Hellish prison? And what was it about the woman that made him feel so safe?'

Once again, the teens were not only faced with a ton of unanswered questions after what had happened down in that cell of death, but on top of all that, they had classes to pass! But this wasn’t the only thing that faced this misfit bunch of teenagers, because they had new powers to control and inner demons to face, a blood oath to figure out, a mechanical bad ass named Gruen out for blood...and oh yeah, a Hell’s Ring to fight. Which meant that their first year at the Afterlife school was going to be interesting all right. In fact, it might just end up being...Hell on Earth!

This is a continuation of the Afterlife Saga, suitable for young adults but a must-listen for all Afterlife fans!

Fantastic

I am really loving these books. It brings a whole new beautifully written spin off the original Afterlife Saga. I am looking forward to the next book. I can’t get enough of this world Stephanie has created. I’m in love with every character.

Great story!

Loved it! I love how this book has supernatural teens that come together as a team while learning who and what they are. Great ending for the next book. Way to go Stephanie Hudson with great characters and descriptions. My favorite Author for sure!!

Where's the rest?

Book 1 was essentially a prequel but separating a novel into parts is just frustrating. Give me Anne Rice! It's hard to enjoy a story when it's unfinished. I guess I know to only get complete and finished series box sets from Mrs. Hudson. I think a third of this episode was wardrobe descriptions.

Mostly filler

In this book you spend most of your time hearing descriptions of rooms, each piece of clothing, scenery, subway, people, etc and only about two hours of story. It makes this frustrating and boring to listen to. Like the first book this isn't really a whole story. It's like the author wrote the whole book then broke it up in order to make more money. I wouldn't recommend this series unless you borrow it for free from the library. Just be ready to skip pages and pages of filler and unnecessary descriptions. I don't dislike the narrator, but think he sounds too old for this series.
