Publisher's summary

World-famous detectives Ellie and Ace are on the case again!

Or are they?

The Annual Rubber Ducky Race has the town of Huckleberry Springs buzzing with excitement...and suspicion. Everyone is sure someone is cheating in the race. Everyone except Ellie that is. This time, she doesn't think there's a mystery to be solved at all.

Ellie's brother, Will, moaned and groaned about the race at breakfast. "I'm telling you someone cheated last year!"

"Ha, you wish!" Ellie grinned at her older brother.

"I had a major lead right up to the end! I was in first!" Will protested. "I was robbed! That other duck showed up at the very last second. It came out of nowhere and stole my win."

Ellie laughed again and shook her head. "True, but...you still lost! Let it go already."

Will the townspeople of Huckleberry Springs convince Ellie that the race is rigged? Will Ellie and Ace even take the case? Will the town "quack" up if they don't? Listen to find out!

The best story in the series!!

What did you love best about Ellie and Ace?

They are an awesome team!! It is a really cute story that highlights their detective skills!

What other book might you compare Ellie and Ace to and why?

I love the mystery this time around. It definitely has shades of Nancy Drew or a cozy mystery, just geared toward a much younger age group!

Which character – as performed by Tiffany Williams – was your favorite?

She does a great job with Ellie. She manages to keep her sweet and slightly snarky at the same time! great pace that really moves things along. Fabulous energy!

Any additional comments?

I highly recommend listening to the author comments at the end! They are a real hoot!! I am sure kids will love the snarky comments!

Laughs and fun as you listen

Ellie and Ace are at it again. This time a race seems to be fixed. The Annual Rubber Duck race is on, but is it rigged? Leave it to Ellie and her trusty dog Axe to find the clues. Ellie is so fun to listen to. My son cannot get enough of her detective skills. He has listened to the many times now, and enjoys them each time.

Tiffany Williams has a great voice for this book. She had an easy to listen to voice. Ms. Williams is able to create a voice for Ellie that kids can relate to. My son loved listening to the narration. He is asking for more audiobooks!

Who Cheated

While I received this free in an exchange for a review, I'd gladly pay for it. The stories are short and super fun to listen to. The narrator makes the story fun and easy to listen. Find out what's really happening during the annual race, is someone cheating?

Cute little mystery

My twin, 11 year old boys really liked this. I turned it on while they did dishes. It was perfect. Entertained them while they worked. They are looking forward to the other ones.
