Kernel of a good story but in desperate need of editing.

There is the potential of an engaging and lighthearted story, but I couldn’t get past the first few chapters because it was obvious the author had thought about the story from two different directions and the timeline inconsistencies drove me crazy. It’s written as if it occurs just a month or so after Rosings but there are continuing references to touring Pemberley and to the Gardiners having met Mr. Darcy and Georgianna the previous summer. It was so distracting I had to turn it off.
