Publisher's Summary
Eddy Hart is out of town, and his partner and fiancée Claire Olson agrees to take on what she thought would be a simple missing person's case. Unfortunately, the missing person believes himself to be Sherlock Holmes and Claire to be Dr. Watson. She finds herself embroiled in an intrigue that began with the Knights Templar centuries before and continues to threaten humanity as the United States comes ever closer to being drawn into World War II.

Enjoyable
The title drew me in with a plot around Sherlock. The setting of 1942, was well done, and of how the killer thought who he was. Enjoyable and good narration Given audio for my voluntary review

What Fun!
I received this book for free. I am voluntarily posting this review and any opinions expressed herein are my own. This is the first book in the Claire Olson PI Mystery series but it is an offshoot of the Eddie Hart PI Mystery series. Eddie and Claire are engaged - however this book focuses solely on Claire. It is a standalone book with no cliffhanger ending. What fun! This is a delightful twist on the Sherlock Holmes character. I love that Claire works this case on her own. She is a strong, sassy and intelligent woman - in my mind, I picture Claire as Rosalind Russell from the movie "His Girl Friday" with Cary Grant. The mystery was interesting and the interactions between Claire and "Sherlock" were very entertaining. The narrator, Lessa Lamb, is so well-suited for this book. Her narration reminded me of the way the actors in the 40's [going back to the Rosalind Russell reference] used to speak - there's a certain cadence to it that Lessa Lamb just nailed. She really brought this story to life.

Fun detective noir romp
This audible book was given to me for free. I enjoyed the story & the conceits within it. It’s set in 1942 and although it’s period correct I cringed every time the author used “oriental” to describe an Asian person. Narrator was solid with good character personification

Another great Gertner book
Very ably performed by Lessa Lamb this book is another outstanding example of the fun writing of the Gertners. I have great hopes this will develop into another of their charming series of wonderful characters. This is the first for Claire who appears in the Eddie Hart series and perhaps the first collaboration by the Gertners.

Thrilling
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. Just like a true Sherlock Holmes adventure!! Your left in mystery the whole time with odd coincidences happening. Twists and turns that bring you in a whole new direction. The narration was perfect and made you feel like you were apart of the adventure. I absolutely loved it!

Wonderful
This was wonderful! Okay, I am a Sherlock fan but that being said I can be a bit critical when the story doesn't match with my ideal. Well, D.P. Gertner has developed an interesting twist on a classic story. I hope to read more in this series. The audiobook was narrated by Lessa Lamb and she is amazing. I hope to find more books narrated by her too. Lessa has the perfect voice for bringing Claire and her crew to life. I was gifted this book but the review is all my own.
