Super great to brush up on your Spanish

Listening to El Principito everyday has really helped me review my Spanish again. I was taught Spanish for 6 years in school and stopped practicing it about 4 years ago. Hearing it again on a consistent basis and matching it with the English version of The Little Prince is helping to restart that part of my brain and I am remembering more and more Spanish. Listening to audiobooks in the language you are trying to learn is a very smart thing to do, it keeps your brain active in that language and associating words with the words you're learning. This is great for kids and adults alike!

I would recommend this audiobook to a friend. It is one of the greatest children's book ever written. With the various language formats, it can be enjoyed by many listeners.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The Prince, of course. His character was very human and understandable. I think this is what makes this book great for children, but adults can also relate to the experiences the Prince goes through.

What does Shanna Stoker and Ximena Garcia bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The additional narrators brought even more life into the story.

There were multiple moments in the book that stood out to me.

Lovely story!

The Little Prince is one of the most beloved childhood stories, imagine being able to share that beautiful tale with your children in both English and Spanish. With this audio book The Little Prince or El Principitio, the story from your childhood comes to life. Each paragraph is spoken in English, with a soothing voice, and then re-spoken in Spanish with clear and concise language.

My son and I listened to this book in the car, and at first he was a little confused about the "weird talking" but once I explained to him what was really going on he quickly caught on, and even picked up a few words. After we did our errands and got back into the car he asked if we were going to listen to principito again. How could I say no?

I have taken 5 years of Spanish myself and could easily follow along with the Spanish version of the story. I was also able to pick out a few new words that I learned!

This book is just gorgeous. You will totally enjoy the experience of listening to the little prince the way that you are familiar with, and then in a brand new way. Learning and nostalgia all in one.

A good book to improve your Spanish

El Principito is fantastic for brushing up one's Spanish and/or a good supplement for people learning the language. The narrator moves at a speed that is easy to keep up with, although at points it feels a bit fast paced. She also does a good job of changing her voice so the listener knows who is talking during the story. Another plus is that the story also comes in English, so if you're new to or aren't too confident in your Spanish, this would be a good way to know whats going on before listening to the Spanish version as you can inference the words being used. The English version is also enjoyable and will keep you engaged in the story.

In all, this was very pleasurable and helpful to listen to and would recommend it for novice Spanish speakers

Fantastic read!!

I loved listening to this Audible! Both the English and French of this audible were perfect. I shared this book with my younger cousins and they began to understand the French language. El Principito is a fantastic book for young children and adults!

I am a beginner in Spanish and I barely understood the first section (the Spanish version) of El Principito. However, I found this book very useful for my listening skill since no one around me speaks Spanish. In addition, the PDF helps a lot since I can always pause the audiobook and read the English translation. I also found the narrators' voices to be very clear, exciting, entertaining, very appropriate for this story.I have never read The Little Prince before. My goal is to keep on listening to this audiobook until I understand the story in Spanish. Thanks for a great book!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I'm glad i got this book! I took a few years of Spanish in school but haven't used the language in quite a while. I was a little hesitant to go straight into a full dual language book but I'm happy I did. Listening to this book really helped bring back a lot of my knowledge I thought I had forgotten. I'm also having a good time working through the written pdf. It's much more fulfilling and entertaining to work through a real story instead of a textbook. I've also been reading it aloud from the pdf to my daughter to get her more familiar with Spanish.

Perfect for Language Practice

I loved this audio book! My dad's family all speaks Spanish, but I always struggled understanding them. I've tried other programs and books, but what I love about El Principito is that it uses simple Spanish at a good rate for someone trying to learn the language. I liked to listen to a Spanish chapter, then flip to the same English chapter and check my understanding. The story is precious and I loved to listen to it while driving to and from school. Even though I finished it, I plan to listen to it again and practice my Spanish!

Sweet way to help learn Spanish

This book was an excellent resource for helping to learn Spanish. I enjoyed being able to hear of all the adventures of the Little Prince on each Planet, first in Spanish then hearing it told again in my native tongue (English) further solidifying what I knew I was hearing the first time!

Audiobook includes a PDF, which is very helpful! The audiobook is very good and clear. They talk at a good rate where you can follow along easily. They have pauses during sections so if you do get lost you can find your place easily! The story is also very nice and sweet. This is a great and fun audio book if you want to try to learn Spanish!

What made the experience of listening to El Principito (The Little Prince): English - Spanish Dual Language Edition the most enjoyable?

The Little Prince is the perfect classic that it will help you to improve your English/ Spanish skills. It has been very easy for me to follow the story as the pronunciation is really clear and as it has the same chapter division is quite useful to listen to both so you will be able to compare them and catch some new words.
I have truly enjoyed this book, no matter how many times you have read it already, it will make you think and appreciate the little things once again. Strongly recommended.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character is definitely the fox which is the one who teaches us the value of love and friendship. The most famous frase from this book is his: " It is only with the heart that one can see rightly. What is essential is invisible to the eyes".

Both speakers and their voice acting makes you travel to the Little Prince's world.

Would you consider the audio edition of El Principito (The Little Prince): English - Spanish Dual Language Edition to be better than the print version?

The Little Prince is a timeless French classical book that is usually included in those lists about books you must read before you. No matter you have read the written book, you cannot miss the bilingual audiobook version. It is a great tool when learning a new language. Apart from pausing and rewinding the story as many times as you want, you can also listen to it in both languages and compare and contrast the phrases.

What did you like best about this story?

In spite of being a short book, there is a variety of topics, so the listener acquires a diverse vocabulary. Moreover, there are many repetitions, which are very useful to retain what has been learnt.
It is a classic that is not out of fashion and is aimed at both children and adults. Due to being and audiobook, it can be enjoyed in family. The little ones will enjoy a funny and crazy fairy tale, while the adults, will discover a lot of metaphors and allegories used to deal with political, social issues, nature and life in general.

What does Shanna Stoker and Ximena Garcia bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

The two narrators speak at a good speed, clearly, and pausing when it is appropriate. When other characters appear, they modulate the voice and do a good performance exercise. As a result, the listening is dynamic and entertaining.

Incredible dual language book of an amazing story

This is for sure a well-done adaption of an incredible title. One of the things I enjoyed the most was how the story was narrated half in Spanish and half in French, rather than one language through the entire story. I used to study both French and Spanish but never had the opportunity to practice them both simultaneity. It is nice to see that this title provides such as great twist in its structure that encourages readers to learn more vocabulary in order to reach the end of this wonderful story. Furthermore, I found it really useful for this title to include a PDF version of both languages. This allowed me to understand the meaning of words and sentence structure in Spanish while confirming its applications in French and vice versa.

The sound quality is good and the narrators make a wonderful performance in which their repetitions of words allowed me to recall their definition and usage. The unforgettable quotes and phrases from this book will allow readers to learn the language because of the story, making it a more interactive and a fun experience. I highly recommend this book for those who want their kids to be bilingual and for those who are aiming at enhancing their vocabulary, listening and reading skills.

Perfect for young learners!

Definitely recommended for people practicing their language rather than new beginners but the story does makes it ideal for young learners and children. The order might be better if it was read chapter by chapter in both languages rather than the whole story in Spanish followed by the story in English. On the whole, it's a lovely little read with fun narrators and a really nice way of practicing new vocab and a new language whether it be English or Spanish!

I have greatly enjoyed El Principito - The Little Prince in audiobook format. Even though I usually read books in paper version, this was a new pleasant experience. While listening to it, I have been simultaneously reading the pdf version of the book. It was very easy to follow the narration as the narrator made smooth transitions, her voice was varied and changing the tone of voice where conversations occurred made it even more interesting to listen to.
El Principito - The Little Prince audiobook is a great tool for beginner learners of Spanish or for the ones with some knowledge, who want to develop their listening, reading and communication skills in Spanish. I have been studying Spanish for about two years at university, however, after a while of not using the language, most of my knowledge has faded. As I was listening to the book, I was able to understand some of the sentences, recognised some familiar words I once used to know, but I have also learnt a lot of new words and phrases. It also helped to remember how Spanish sentences are constructed and how the words are derived based on tense and gender.
In order to understand the story, I found it easier to listen to the audiobook while also following it on a pdf version, but just because I am more a visual learner. I truly believe it is a wonderful book that you can learn from, not only because two languages, but also because you can learn from the beautiful story of the little prince.
I have noticed only one minor discrepancy in chapter numbering. Chapter 6 on the audiobook was actually a chapter 4 on the pdf. Other than that, I would recommend it to all book lovers!

Clever and fun way of learning Spanish!

Such a great audiobook and such a clever way of learning Spanish for all age ranges! I listen to this with my 3 year old son and he loves the story, thanks to the clear pronunciation of both the Spanish and English parts of this book I have no doubt that this is the best way of teaching him foreign language at such a young age. Also for someone like me who speaks basic Spanish I find it very useful for putting longer sentences together and brushing up on pronunciation of certain words. This really is a great product for both old and young, very smartly done.

The Little Prince

I have never heard of this story before but I am extremely glad I have now listened to it! The story is extremely engaging especially the science fiction elements of the story and the message of unique love and acceptance make this book a wonderful listen. Along with this and the language is beautiful and whimsical in nature which I also thoroughly enjoyed. As well as this, the fact that the story is dual language I was able to identify and expand upon my Spanish knowledge as a result of listening t this book. The translation is clear and the voices are not too fast so I can understand the distinction between words a lot easier. Having studied Spanish in high school this is a lovely way to refresh my Spanish skills in a creative way as I also love reading as a way to expand my vocabulary in English. So the fact that this offers an enchanting story as well as help my Spanish knowledge, I can say that this book is perfect for all story lovers who want to learn another language.

Great book for learners

I have greatly enjoyed El Principito - The Little Prince in audiobook format. The audiobook was easy to follow with the use of the provided PDF. The story itself is very interesting. I've been learning Spanish in school for 3 years and I was able to recognize some of the vocabularies while listening to it. But, more importantly, I've learned new tenses and new phrases. Moreover, my pronunciation of Spanish improves significantly by just reading along with the two narrators. I would definitely recommend this audiobook to learners of Spanish and my friends as it is a very good resource for them to improve their reading, listening and communication skills.

Charming and Educational

A charming story about a little prince and a narrator who develop an admirable relationship throughout the book. Getting to listen to the book in spanish was a unique feature that I definitely enjoyed, as I have been learning Spanish for 2 years now, the book allowed me to add to my vocabulary, figure out when to use what tenses and has definitely improved my fluency in Spanish. I would confidently reccomend this book to anyone looking for a great story that improves your ability to understand spanish.

A great story for my level, told beautifully.

This method of passive learning suits my lifestyle and learning needs perfectly! I listened to this whilst performing day-to-day tasks or running errands whilst out of the house. The story was told entirely in Spanish for the first half and then again in English half way through, encouraging multiple listens to get an even better understanding of certain vocabulary and verb conjugations that I wasn't too sure of upon the first play-through.
