Great story, but just to short wanted more

I really like the main character Chase! A killer for hire with a moral compass. I also enjoyed Kissey she is a hoot too. I think this author will be fun to follow

Stephanie Plum meets Dexter

Below is a composite review of the series in general:

The series is orignal with zany amusing characters. These is plenty of action , surprises and humor.

The series is sort of a combination of Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum and Jeff Lindsay's Dexter. Kissy, the zany, quirky heroine reminds me of Stephanie. She has a very likeable straight arrow boyfriend who unwittingly gets caught up in all the mischief and mayhem,

Tim, is the hit man / serial killer who like Dexter only kills bad guys after vetting them. If a client employees him to kill an undeserving target then it is the client who has a funeral. Tim calls himself the "Killer with a conscience" aka the KC Killer. Unfortunately some perspective clients think that KC Killer means "Killer on Command".

Tim returns to town after his mentor's death and when his sister Julia (Kissy's best friend) is laid up with a broken leg. Tim has a major crush on Kissy. Kissy has a way of disrupting Tim's occupational assignments. Tim is not an inept fumbling assassin per see; it's just that Kissy and her gang of bumbling friends have a way of fouling up Tim's assignments.

This is a fun orignal series! It is not great literature, however it is very enjoyable and zany.

Killing is good for the soul!

A killer with a conscience. Not all of them have one. But our boy does. The target of his contract is his girlfriend's new acquaintance. Find out he is a nice guy and cancels said contract.

Didn't go over to well with the holders of the contract, so they decide to take a few things and make him fulfill it.

What happens next is the good part.

Great Read

Any additional comments?

Ecstasy: Killer on Call Book one by Gwendolyn Druyor was a good quick read. Time is a guy that kills bad guys, as long as you pay him and provide proof of the persons wrongdoing. Tim bring's his sisters best friend to one of his jobs. Little did he know, she would fall in love with his target. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more in the series.

Like a Pilot Episode to a TV Show

Since I am a fan of Gwendolyn Druyor’s narration, I wanted to give one of her own books a try. Since she is a great narrator, I figured that the performance alone would be worth it.

We get a super fast story that reunites Kissy with her friend’s brother, Tim. He takes her out on a job with him, since he is a KC—Killer with a Conscience. Along the way, we meet police officer Avi, who sings bass and hits it off with musical firecracker Kissy.

This is a short work. I knew that going into it, but I still wanted more. I would say the best way to think of this is a pilot episode to a TV series. It puts all the characters in place and gives us glimpses to what might come up in the future, such as a love triangle between Kissy, Tim and Avi. There are several more stories after this, so you can listen to the further adventures of Kissy, Tim and Avi just to be sure.

Druyor’s narration is as good as I expected it to be. There were some clever parts to this story that I rather liked. For example, near the end we meet a dominatrix who had a very unique way of capturing her intended target. I liked it so much I had to tell several people I knew who appreciate a good whodunnit. The name Avi may or may not be a reference to the wonderful bass singer Avi Kaplan from the group Pentatonix, but he was the Avi who immediately came to my mind.

I recommend this to those who only have time for quick reads/listens and who like a fast-paced mystery. There isn’t a lot of explicit sex or violence, but due to length there just isn’t time for it. If you like this one, there are several other stories to go with it.

Good

Short story getting to know the different characters. Mayhem with the music scene, and going on a date with a KC, who was a target, now he’s having to save both of them. Good narration by the author
