Publisher's summary

Feisty Samantha (Sam) Wilson isn't allowing the closure of the village library to go unchallenged; it's just another blow to a community already in slow decay. When aspiring author Dominic Ross moves into the old schoolhouse, things begin to change.

Sam thinks he'd make a great match for her childhood friend and single mom Anne. Dominic has other things on his mind. He wants to help Sam with the library, he's under pressure from his agent to come up with the goods, and he thinks his house is haunted.

A gentle tale of friendship, romance, secrets, and rivalries - and things that go bump in the night!

Echoes of Alice

I enjoyed this one!A little bit spooky a bit of romance. Nano Nagle was the perfect narrator,as usual. I'd love to see what happens to these people! I was given this book by the narrator, author or publisher free for an honest review.

Not what I expected.

I thought this book would be darker based on the cover but it is not. I have to admit that I was disappointed but I listened to the audiobook. unfortunately, it did not really grab me as I hoped it would, I think it was partly to do with the relationship formed by the MC. I actually did not feel his attraction to his love interest. I could not understand why he picked her and I thought her friend was too forgiving.
however, I did like the fact it was based in England and the words used I could understand and brought back fond memories.
Others might enjoy it more than I did.

Very interesting listen

This was a very interesting listen. The opening paragraphs dealt with the death of a much-loved spouse and while you think that would be off-putting, it was not. The sequence was very well-written.

The book progresses with the widower purchasing his deceased wife's childhood home in the small village where she grew up. It was a sweet, delicate story. With a ghost.

The narrator had a good voice and delivery. I hope I get to experience Nagle again!
