Publisher's summary

After a blazing operation to destroy Syrian chemical weapons, it is time for Echo Six to take a well-earned furlough. Until Lieutenant-Commander Talley's girlfriend disappears in the war-torn city of Beirut. And Hezbollah kidnaps a senior member of the United Nations.

NATO orders the elite Special Forces unit to locate and recover the diplomat. The trail leads to a Hezbollah refugee camp. Located on the Southern Lebanese border with Israel, it is home to some of the worst, most vicious fighters in the Middle East. The solution - to send in an elite force, men whose toughness and fighting skills are more than a match for the Islamic fundamentalists. These are the men of Echo Six.

The action that follows is a bloody battle stretching from the city of Beirut, across Lebanon and even into Saudi Arabia. The cruel influence of Hezbollah stretches across the entire region, where they are renowned for trafficking women for guns and executing all who stand in their way. A violent story of heroism, deceit and betrayal. Echo Six: Black Ops - Battle for Beirut is a worthy, action packed sequel to the best-selling Echo Six: Black Ops novels.

Gripping, Fast Paced and Compelling

What made the experience of listening to Echo Six: Black Ops - Battle for Beirut the most enjoyable?

The convenience of being able to listen to the book when I had some down time. It was very relaxing just listening and not having to do anything. The narration of the story capture my attention immediately and I was transported to the Middle East.

What other book might you compare Echo Six: Black Ops - Battle for Beirut to and why?

I've never read a book based on special forces and worn torn countries. This book opened up a new world for me and I will read the other Eric Meyer's book in the series.

What does Tim Welch bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Tim Welch captivated me from the prologue. He is an excellent story teller and pulls in the listener immediately.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

From the prologue I was pulled in and a bit in shock. I did not expect how the book started and the vivid description that set the book into motion. It totally pulled me in....

Any additional comments?

Mr. Meyer's Echo Six Black Ops The Battle For Beirut is a fast paced, exciting, descriptive book that captures the reader immediately from the Prologue. The reader is transported to war torn Middle East; which is extremely powerful and relatable to current events. All the characters get you emotionally invested in the story. The feelings that I developed for them were very strong - anger, frustration, pain, fear, and hope. The twists and turns the book takes you through reveals a lot about the good and bad in human nature. It is a book that once you start reading you can not put down. This is a book for anyone who is interested in high action, thriller novel! Eric Meyer does an awesome job in transporting the reader right in the middle of all the action and being part of the story. This is a must read!
