Publisher's summary

Would you risk everything you thought you knew about yourself if it meant saving everyone you love? In this thrilling debut novel, sixteen-year-old Eden Huntleigh and her family live within the district of Empyrean. Under the rule of The Renegades and their tyrant leader Cesar, every aspect of life is controlled. Streets are patrolled by humanoid Enforcers. Necessities are rationed. Disobedience is not tolerated. When Eden receives an omen and joins a group of Rebels led by the alluring Leo Dillon, her life begins to unravel.

Just as the Rebels are beginning to understand what they are capable of, Cesar has kidnapped their families, forcing them to strike before they are ready. Once inside the Empyrean palace, they discover the horror of what they are truly facing. Does Eden have what it takes to be the legend she was destined to be? Ready or not, she's about to find out.

Loved it!

Dropping into this dystopian world was in many ways crazy and I’m still filled with questions! It was a short book for me but I’m hoping the next book is longer and will answer several of my questions. I became to like Eden and the other characters as well! I can’t wait to dig into book #2!!
I would also recommend listening to the audible version. So good! Narrator did a good job!!

Amazing!

This is the first book of the debut series Among Stars by JoAnna S. Morris and it is such a great series from an amazing author.

Can I just say....wow! This book grabbed my undivided attention from the intro until the very last line. I loved the vivid description Morris used to immerse myself in her world.

Eden Huntleigh is a strong, independent and fierce girl that lives in a world plagued by fear. She discovers a pendant passed down to her by her grandfather links her to a group that could have the power to change her world more than she ever thought possible. Can she trust these strangers and more importantly can she find it within herself to save everyone she's ever loved?

Echo Among Stars is "fast paced, edge of your seat, omigosh...what just happened" kind of good. I couldn't put it down and naturally I want more! Morris is off to a great start and I can't wait to see what else she has to offer!

I loved every bit of it! If you're looking for a great YA read or if you have that reader in the family looking for something to fill the void in their summer reading list, this is the perfect book!
