Finally a HOT BAD GIRL Story
The publisher's summary sucked me in with 4 words "I'm the bad girl." As much as I love Bad Boys it's refreshing to have a story about a Bad Girl.
Here are some highlights without giving anything away:
- Blaire has an affair with her high school teacher. She learns from this affair that being the other woman can be profitable.
- She moves to New York and starts her "gold digging dating."
- She meets Ronan, who is not wealthy, and after Ronan's relentless pursuits she goes out with him.
- She meets Lawrence, extremely wealthy. Stops seeing Ronan and makes a sex agreement with Lawrence. After all... her goal is to obtain wealth.
Does Ronan give up on Blair? Does Lawrence want more than just sex? Who is the mystery Chauffeur? Stay tuned...Sweetest Venom arrives in 4 days.
Lucy Malone gave a very captivating performance. I hung on every word and just took a deep breath and closed my eyes at the end. I didn't want it to be over. I immediately went to Mia's website and Audible's upcoming releases and saw that I only had to wait a few weeks for Sweetest Venom so I pre-ordered.
Absolutely worth a credit.

If you could sum up Easy Virtue in three words, what would they be?
Sex, Angst, and Attitude.
Who was your favorite character and why?
That's a hard one but I guess it would probably be Ronan. I like that he treated Blaire differently from the other men in her life (both past and present) and made her feel special. And because, Hello Kitty watch.
Have you listened to any of Lucy Malone’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I've never listened to any of Lucy Malone's performances before this one. I think that the author did a wonderful job in selecting the perfect narrator for the story and I look forward to more of Lucy's book narratives in the future.

Better/ Not as good as expected...
So this was better than expected because I only got it for erotic scenes, having every intention of ff through everything to bookmark said scenes and instead; I found myself enjoying the story *gasp*!!! While it's not amazing or filled with alot of depth, it's definitely entertaining. You do have to suspend belief, but easy enough. Yes, things progress way faster than they ever would in real life.. but it's a f*cking book people and the Author isn't trying to portray it as some reflection of real life.
Now with that being said; it was also disappointing, because as previously stated, I only wanted this for kink and sexy time and there's absolutely no kink and very limited sexy time. There are sex scenes. They are decent, but not nearly descriptive or dirty enough for my tastes. Story is enough to make me buy book 2 though.
Narrator does a great job on FMC, but I really disliked both her voice and acting with the males. Should've done dual narration or a female better with males...which there are plenty of. Some females do the males 10000x better in dual narratives.
Overall, solid 3.5*. A few additions and variations could've easily made it a 4.

Darkish, taboo romance. 1POV. Cliffhanger 1/2
This is a “hot damn” romance. It’s not your typical romance story, no hearts and flowers. There is another book to finish this duet. If you want “all the good feels” at the end of a romance book, this isn’t for you. Narration is ok. Nothing wrong with it, Lucy’s voice just isn’t my favorite.
