The fact is, even second-time parents sometimes find themselves overly concerned about the growth and development of their baby.

But don't worry. You too can become a parenting pro.

As a foodie I didn’t want to keep giving my baby

They really explain everything about what you children should been eating in each stage and why. This is a huge book. I really recommend that. I am so impressed with this book that I bought audible for my daughter and another one for myself!

Exactly what i was looking for!

This is a great resource! I bought this audible book because my pediatrician gave me an old photocopied, vague guide on solids. I wanted something more concrete and couldn't find what I needed on the internet. Each site seems to have different recommendations. Lisa Marshall (the author) has a beautiful introduction with lots of encouragement, advice, and recommendations on how to feed your baby the best organic foods. My little girl has been eating solids for about a month now and it's been very helpful.

Interesting

If anyone is interested in buying this book, use it more for inspiration rather than a complete baby cookbook. Now I'm trying to get my daughter to like the foods we eat, I'm not going to experiment too much.

Easy Newborn Care Tips

I really liked this book when I started cooking my own baby food. It gives great tips on how to prepare, steam, and freeze baby food. Now that my daughter is 10 months and she figured out what she likes and doesn't like, I find myself using this book less and less often. It's still a very nice book with loads of great ideas

Excellent Advice

Great book! To the person that reviewed saying it makes life threatening food choices, no it clearly stated in the first chapter not to give honey to babies. Listen the whole book before making a terrible review.

Easy to listen and packed with VALUE!

What I like about this book and what makes it different from other similar-themed books is that Lisa expresses common sense tips in an easy to understand manner. The best part is she keeps it practical, short and sweet. Many times, these experts have the knowledge but they harp too long on it. They would give long and drawn-out explanations that tend to make you lose track after a while. But not this book. Which is also why I was able to finish it so quickly. I haven't got the time to pause and rewind, I have mouths to feed! I need quick and fast tips and this book delivers on that. So if you're busy but need some practical tools and knowledge on newborn care, then this book is for you. If you have the time to spare then, by all means, go out and explore...there are tons of more detailed books out there. What I find most useful is the PDF that comes along with the audiobook. Again, I love that it is an easy and quick visual tool. My favorite section of the book is the part where Lisa teaches you all about your child sleeping independently. This is such a huge knowledge bomb for me... I also have no idea babies could actually have sleeping disorders... I'm so thankful I received a promo code for this book because it really made my life easier. I gave a voluntary review in exchange for a free download.

Extremely Good

A lot of useful information but keeps it short and to the point. Has several diagrams. I like it because it brings a sense of humour to a stressful situation, by no means is it a joke but the wording makes it light and more enjoyable. This will tell you how take take care of a newborn child.

Wonderful audio book

A quick listen and full of good information. Best to start early, but also relevant to infants over 6 months.

This book is so easy to use with your children

This book was extremely helpful to me as a first time mother. It was very easy to read and to use as a reference, and I'm sure it helped me to continue breastfeeding when I was feeling inadequate and unsure of myself. Now my 4 month old is still breastfed and is growing like a weed!

This book is so easy to use with your children

After formula feeding my first baby, I was determined to breast feed my second (and third). This book helped so much more than the lactation consultants ever did. I've since passed it on to another friend who wanted to breast feed and she was more successful than I was. Thank you!

Absolutely loved this book.

As a parent, I appreciated the activity ideas so easily sorted by age and type, and the reminders of typical milestones to help guide my observations of my child. We have had fun trying new things together!

This is absolutely the best one

I bought this book for my daughter-in-law. She started listening the book after coming home from the hospital and already breastfeeding. Although she was already practicing many suggestions given in the book, she found many tips that she was able to put to use to make it a better experience.

Good positive book.

As an early childhood educator, I love the accessible tone of this book—and the organization of it means it can be picked up and read in manageable bits. This makes it easy to recommend to parents.

As an early childhood educator,

It is laid out monthly so it’s not overwhelming with information and you can learn about the social, emotional needs in addition to physical milestones. The book also provides you with little songs and games you can play with your baby.

This book gave me a lot of information.

I decided against going to the classes the hospital offers and read this book instead. What a world of difference it made for me. It answered all my questions and then some. Plus its great to have something to go back and reference again and again.
