    Dark, twisted and thrilling

A great collection of 10 dark, twisted and disturbing tales that could easily give Steven King a run for his money. The stories in this audiobook are all different but have a common thread of horror occurring in everyday life. From a grand mothers revenge, to an old friend who ends up being the monster under the bed, the stories are inventive and will give you chills but you still won't be able to stop listening. The narrator does a great job with this book, he gives individual personalities to each character and manages to covey the tension and emotions in the book very well. My only complaint is that I would have liked to have heard more. I received this audiobook from the author in exchange for an honest review

    Dark, creepy stories

Have you listened to any of Tee Quillin’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I haven't heard this narrator before but loved how he told each story. He played with accents in some stories and in others he really grasped the characters well in my opinion. I would love to hear him read another book.

    Any additional comments?

I am a big fan of Mark's stories. He has the right amount of psychological fear going on. They are dark and creepy reads, stories that you can sink your teeth into, not too long and not to short. The wonderful thing about horror stories is that they seem to stand the test of time, no matter how old the stories they can instill fear into you in some way. Mark's stories are ones that can be read now or ten years from now and still freak you out.

    Fantastic collection of short stories

    Any additional comments?

This audiobook was absolutely fantastic! There were a bunch of short stories about numerous different things all leading were the "bad" people are in a position to die. Each story is very well written and the reader forms a connection with the characters. I really enjoyed this book and was very sad when it was over. Note: I received this book through Librarything in exchange for an honest review.

    Darkly twisted

This is the second book I've read/listened to by Mark Tullius, and I have to say that I am really enjoying his work. This is a book of short stories that are all different, yet all dark and twisted. Some of the stories, I thought, could have been expanded a bit, but that didn't detract from its readability or quality. I listened to the Audible audio version narrated by Tee Quillin (again, second time listening to him), and I really like his narrations. He has such a range in his voice and gives each character such a unique voice. He is another narrator that has made it to my "favorites" list, and I will keep my eye open for more from him. Overall, if you like short stories, horror, and all manner of dark and twisted things, I think this would be a good book for you.
