  • Summary

  • From the first photograph of Emmett Till to those of the school shooting at Uvalde, powerful images have proven to stir our deepest emotions and thrust us into action. But what is the toll on our state of mind when we see these raw images over and over again? April Ryan and guests question the power that images hold over us.

Guests include Whoopi Goldberg, Danielle Deadwyler, Rosalind Withers, Blair Imani, Devante Hill, Cori Murray, Eden Bridgeman, and Myrlie Evers.

Visual reminder

Evidence to the substance in the Black American Culture. We always find the Beauty in trials to form a persevering state of consciousness.

Awesome brief account of his story

I have been fascinated for years about the Emmitt Till story and every time I learn something new. I loved this brief account that brings us up to speed of modern day vs past police injustices and brutality cases alike

Amazing Grace!

Dearly Beloveds - our own modern-day Griots, Journalists, Activits, Historians, and Storytellers are doing an Amazing job inspiring richer, deeper intrigue into our collective experiences in the telling of "Till." Intrigue that I hope will inspire a fuller grasp of American justice for [G]enerations of JAHS to come. The Grace inspired by "Til" makes possible, the seemingly impossible. We have permission to tell our truths. In the telling of "Till", our eyes are opened and the doors are open for future Griots to continue to brand the Black American experience and what equal justice under the law does or doesn't look like. These are our stories and we certainly applaud you for excercising your right to tell it like it is! Amazing!
