Publisher's summary

This is the story of survival when the worst possible scenario occurs. Three apocalyptic events occur at the same time. North Korea and Iran take advantage of a devastating cosmic event to mask their EMP and cyber-attack on the USA and its allies.

Our hero, Tom Horn, fled to Arizona years ago to keep drug cartel hitmen from killing him after they killed his family. Tom and the citizens of Stony Creek live through the grid collapse, an EMP destroying electronics, and destruction from the strike of thousands of meteors as they try to overcome the post-apocalyptic nightmare. Tom lives through this perfect storm of apocalyptic catastrophes only to have the cartel find him.

How do Tom and his friends survive the apocalypse? How does Tom deal with the cartel? Can the citizens of Stony Creek pull together or will they erupt in chaos because only a few of them were prepared?

Not sure what happened here?

I generally love anything Kevin Pierce narrates but this audio was hard to listen to. I thought the story was really bad. I love prepper fiction but some story-lines for me are absolutely ridiculous. I am an avid listener of this genre so I'll keep looking, I so wanted to love this book, not a lot of new audio and I've pretty much heard all of the old.

Another disappointment

This could have been a good one, the story was strong, but the characters just kind of drive you nuts. The perfect example of how this was written by somebody that had never really been through the suck is that a woman is raped and then within minutes is tactically clearing a building while making smart ass comments about how she’s going to kill more rapists. Open till that point there were annoying parts but I just lost it after that

1st Book

I absolutely love Post-Apocalyptic books without zombies and good narration. Enjoyed this book due to the characters of Tom Horn (also known as Sam Reagan), Walter Two Shoes and Meg Long as they experience an EMP and cyber-attack and work to get the town organized. Look forward to next one as Tom get to know his daughter.

EMP book like nothing I have read before

Finished this book about a week ago why making my 10+ hour drive to work I ended up listening to it from start to finish non stop wished it was longer but hope since it said it was book one that he intends to right more to this story look forward to getting it I have yet to listen to any of A J Newman’s book I didn’t really enjoy and always seem to not want to put them down this book shows a different twist from most EMP books and it was nice to listen to something that takes the story in a different direction then most others and would recommend it to anyone that is interested in books about EMP’s and the end of civilization as it was also the narrator does a amazing job at painting a picture in your head and keeping your attention look forward to listening to more books by this author or narrator

Great First Book!!!

This book is awesome I live inArizona so now it's giving me ideas of where we could go in case of an apocalypse or the seven year tribulation of Christ if he doesn't return at for the rapture at the very beginning. since we don't know the day to hear the hour it could be the beginning of the tribulation or in the middle we never know so you got to have area to go to while we wait for the Lord and reach others for Christ

Poorly written

junvinle writing. Too much religon. Too many "You're my hero's" and "glory geek's Batman" type sentence. Not worthy.

EMPredictable

Not very imaginative. It does not build up the subject sufficiently and does not give enough background material. Too much action and not enough substance.👇👇

Surprise

This book was very good. Never hurts to have Kevin Pierce as the narrator. The story was interesting and easy to listen to. The characters were surprisingly good. I definitely recommend this book.
