Publisher's summary

You’ve tried your best for years and never managed to please your demanding parents. You’ve fallen head over heels for someone who keeps ignoring you. You’ve hit rock bottom.

Tessa is close to giving up on her authoritative parents and their demands, on her studies, and on everything in her life, including Dylan. He is the one boy she has loved since she can remember, the one who dated her and promised her forever when they were 14 and then dumped her without an explanation, only to ignore her ever since. He is the one who shows up to save her from violence before the stroke of midnight, who kisses her and holds her close, only to tell her in the course of the same night that he doesn’t love her.

Tessa knows Dylan has gone through some tough times, and they’re only getting tougher. Is he telling the truth about his lack of feelings for her, or is he running from his own demons?

The way Tessa sees it, she has two options: run away and leave it all behind, or stay to fight against her controlling family and win back Dylan. She has a feeling he needs her. How can she leave when he's the only man who’s ever made her feel alive?

This is a stand-alone story without a cliff-hanger.

heartbreaking beautiful

I adore this story. So heart felt and emotionally engaging. Male voice is enthralling. Tessa's voice could have been less pitchy which makes her sound wimpy. I feel like her voice should match her strength of character. Love this story and the whole series.

good and slightly predictable

This was a good story. The fact that Tessa was a pushover got old quick, but it was nice that she found her backbone. Her father needed his ass whopped. Dylan was the definition of a sad story and was a great big brother. The twist at the end with his father was great. Wish there was more about his mother but maybe her absence was necessary.

Great performances

I’m a fan of Abby Craden from another book called Bully. Good story line. Enjoyed how Tessa was able to stand up for herself. Story was a little predictable, but it still was entertaining.

Okay series...but....

I didn't dislike the series, but I did not exactly love it either. The thing that annoyed me mostly is the age of all these characters.
Every single one is under age for what is IMO logical in the storylines.
Storylines that began '4 or 5 years ago' when characters were 14 or 15 and then to 'now' when they are barely 20.
I am in no way saying that it isn't possible for some things to have happened as written - but to me it would be much easier to swallow if this group of friends were all 25 or so in the 'now'.
Also, no tattoo artist is going to be 18 or 19 and running his own shop. This is something that takes years of apprenticeship to learn and become licenced for. (Fully tatted here...so trust me)

Narration was decent, but again these voices are NOT 19 or 20.

Overall if you can suspend your disbelief over parts it isn't a waste of time or credits.

Cute loving story... HEA

The characters are well liked but their low self-esteem got to me at times. The story is quite sweet but they keep misinterpreting each other... I love him/her... but he/she doesn't care about me. Same thoughts... Talk already!! Open up. Too many unsaid thoughts. I guess that's what makes the story.

Glad to see Tess has "balls" to stand up for herself... but, she could have done better. Nonetheless, glad to see she wasn't a victim asking for pity. She did have a lot of hopeless thinking... but so did Dylan.

Early in the story, we find out that years ago Tess was forced to have sex by Shane... He was then referred to as her "Ex". Why? They never dated. And, not once, was the word "rape" used. I really didn't understand that. The emphasis on this was under developed.

Tad Branson is amazing. His expressions makes imagining so perfect. Abby is great too but at times speaks very slowly. A bit frustrating. Over all the narration is really great.

The hot scenes are really hot. :P

Enjoy!

Love the story, female narrator, not so much!

I love this book, heck the whole series. Just have to ignore that theyre teens. Reads more like mid 20's so thats what i picture while reading.

Male narrator os awesome and sexy, females voice annoyed me so much i almost stopped listening several times. The voice of Tessa os fine. Its the impression of the other voices. Id give this a full 5* all the way down if not for her. But definitely worth listening to!

Two sides

Wow! I truly loved how the author shared one message from two points of view. Life isn’t always sweet because a person has money. This was my favorite thus far. But I’m left with a few questions, and I'm praying I'm not left hanging.
