Winter is coming. Such is the stern motto of House Stark, the northernmost of the fiefdoms that owe allegiance to King Robert Baratheon in far-off King's Landing. There Eddard Stark of Winterfell rules in Robert's name. Far to the north, behind the towering Wall, lie savage Wildings and worse - unnatural things relegated to myth during the centuries-long summer, but proving all too real and all too deadly in the turning of the season. Yet a more immediate threat lurks to the south, where Jon Arryn, the Hand of the King, has died under mysterious circumstances....

Did author not remember what had already been written in previous books?
In this book (as in the second...) the author re tells parts in a different way this story goes into detail about the courthouse where Dutch 2 didn’t but it did give details and one was the ID of body and how Dolores did it...also she got a call in Dutch 2 not them at home and they apologized for it and offered to send car...then at coroners she did not put on a huge dramatic show at first ...in this one she she starts screaming and oh my the author got so much wrong...I had been reading all of Terri woods books I know the author started a whole genre and it saddens me that it’s this kind of work that makes the stereo types of this genre not all are so poorly written....
But overall...captivating...but this one is a let down it was grasping

I expected more
after years of finally getting a chance to read Dutch 3 I'm pissed. she spent almost the whole book on flashbacks and back story on characters we dont care about. And then used the last couple of chapters to jump to present day and severely rush the ending. This was barely a shell of the first 2 books. It would have been better to not even make a third book and just leave us hanging. I'm pissed

You win some, you lose some.
The book was good, but, didn't have that spark that the other two had. I guess it's because it's kind of predictable. There's really only so many ways you can go, when telling stories like these. But, with that being said, it was a good ending, given the fact that this type of story has been done so many times before. I love Teri Woods' novels and I would, and will continue to recommend her works to people! Especially teenagers and younger adults who don't read very often, because, it will get them reading!

Long Recap of Dutch II/Kwame Teague version better
I enjoyed Kwame Teague version a lot better, “Dutch: The Finale”. This terri woods version seems rushed and is basically reexplaining what happened in book two. Also some things weren't even consistent with the past events and or didn't match what was said in the previous book.
