Publisher's summary

Auras empowering the body to superhuman status. Invocations tearing the land asunder. The war has arrived.

The necromantic armies are on the warpath and nowhere is safe—even the sanctuary of the flying dungeon has been threatened. The leadership of nearly all the sentient races has been wiped out, and only the people most suited to repelling the advancing darkness have an intact monarchy.

Cal learns quickly that the primary threat is not the far-off war, but the actions of those entrusted with protecting the population. As it turns out, the idea of using a flying dungeon as a war machine is very tempting indeed.

Dale has been facing his trials better than anyone could have hoped for, but when the war takes a turn for the worse, his role is forcibly relinquished. Since his only chance at survival is painful and rapid advancement, Dale must learn if his strength of will can develop into strength of flesh.

The distance between the Heavens and the Earth might not be so far after all.

Brilliant and wonderful!

Celestial Feces! what a ride, and im desolated that the end had come. Rejoice though, because Dakota spun a yarn, worth of the spindle of fate. The divine dungeon series is one of my favorites, wth over 500 fantasy audio books in my library. I loved the ending, it was absolutely brilliant. Thank you Dakota, and im looking forward to your next novel (crossing my fingers it's in the completionist series).

nice set up

after listening to the first two books of the completionist series I loved seeing the set up for the completionist in this book sprinkled out throughout the story. it was really good to get back to Cal and Dale but with the ending of this book I would recommend people to read the first two books of the completionist series first before reading this book. It makes me excited to see what comes out next.

More Divine Dungeon!

The book continues with Cal and Dale, and the rest of the crew, while working through personal and professional issues all along the way. This book gets a bit higher level in terms of power and world events, and shows the rhetorical shape of the world and world events. Mage-rank cultivators are supers.

odd story progression.

It was a great book, I did not expect zenocides entrance, needed more Adam foreshadowing.

Love the entire series, Dakota has created such a fantastic world, and Vikas Adam does an amazing job bringing it to life. Also check out his other book series The Ritualist!

I thoroughly enjoyed these books. I finished all four in just under a week and each one kept me on my toes.

Ramping up the world

For those of you who pay attention, the world foreshadowing twist has been obvious for books, but its interesting how we're heading there. I can't say I dislike it, nor the norse mythology reached into in previous instances. Very interesting and enjoyable to listen to!
