Hidden Gem of a Historical Fiction Novel
I thought I had read them all! I was very distracted by the narrator the first couple of chapters. Her pacing and emphasis is different. As we get to know the main character, the narration becomes representative of her personality. I note this so you will stick with the book. It’s truly a great read! Definitely in my top 15, and I’ve been a fan and avid reader of historical fiction since the 1990’s.
