Publisher's Summary

Everyone loves Drover, Hank's trusty sidekick. But have you ever wondered what the little, white, stub-tailed dog's life was like before he came to the ranch? Well, it's all here, in Drover's own words. Scratching his story out in the dirt on the machine shed floor, Drover comes clean about his secret life - from his early days as runt of the litter, to his frustrating search for a job, to his ultimate position as Hank's right-paw man.

Drover's story is a must-hear for all fans of the long-running Hank the Cowdog series. Hear Drover sing "I Have No Ambition", and find out if Boris the Bat's "You Need a Dream" provides any inspiration for Drover in this hilarious adventure for the entire family.

Hot dog! Don't miss out on any of Hank the Cowdog's adventures.

Great book/Reviewed by Mickey 7th grd. & Kevin 4th

I LOVE DROVER!!!! So glad that J. R. E. wrote a book on the life of Drover. Here is the plot:
Drover is a small puppy who is too old to stay in the house so his mother wants him to go out into the world and find a job.
It was written as if someone who isn't very smart is having a conversation with you. Love the tangents he runs on!
I kind of missed having Hank around, but still it was very good.
Very well done!

Drover decides to write his memoirs! OMG!

If you were every wondering about Drover's backstory, here it is. You won't want to miss Pete the barn cat teaching Drover how to fly or Drover telling us about how he wanted to go to "Handsome Prince School". All of this and how he had to go out and find a job and you have a great listen. All the characters are excellent and we get great insight into Drover's personality. This is one of my kid's very favorite one and he will listen to it to go to sleep, sometimes even though he has heard it over and over.
