The most painful audible I’ve heard

I tried, I really tried but the narration is so bad it was too painful to finish. Mispronounced words, chopped up monotone. The content that I heard was overly basic but I couldn’t finish the book due to narration so not sure about later content. Such a waste of an audible credit.

Narration is a bit average, but very insightful book overall

This book was a useful read for me. The author is obviously well experienced in the automotive industry and supports his thoughts with famous quotes which I like. Whilst the narration is average, it is coming from the author which gives it a bit of an endearing feel (if you want to look at things optimistically). Otherwise, hire a professional narrator who would have made this read faultless.

No way!!!!!

I’m sure this has great information, but narration is TERRIBLE!!! Extremely choppy, very poor transitions, I’m 30 minutes in and he’s already pronounced several words. Like I’m said this might have great information, but I would suggest purchasing the physical book and not the audible. His reading reminds me of my 6 year old learning how to read.

Narration is amateur, content is excellent.

The narration is the author. He is not a professional narrator. There are stops and stutters in his voice, but the writing and content is excellent. The book is well worth keeping.

Worst narration... Ever!!!

Why? Why? Why did the author decide to narrate his own book? Did it save him money? It reminds me of bored school children being forced to read aloud in class. The narration totally ruins the experience of listening to the book which has good content. In fact the narration is so bad, it makes me wonder if the author has ever read the book, let alone written it. When compared to other authors who speak with passion and commitment about their subject matter, Chris seems to have no passion, no knowledge and not even a passing interest in engaging with HIS customer (Something he talks about in the book). Be prepared to be bored witless while listening to this, I Like the subject matter enough to see if I can find a kindle edition of this because I'm not sure I can stomach another 4 1/2 hours of it.
